I was just in my local Tesco where they are doing the £6 deal. Not too bad but I used the self-service tills and I was charged the full £10 - no reduction applied. 3 minutes at the customer service desk got me double the difference (though they claimed it didn't count on self-service + 101 other excuses). Overall cost, £2 for a case of 15 San Miguel.

You'll need to be quick before they update their systems though.

BTW, if you are anything like me £25 of that £30 min spend can be used on the 2 70cl bottles of Jack Daniels for £25 offer.

they will not update the system, spend and save are all done manually, even at main checkouts the cashier has to take the saving off manually. the person at self-scan should have a barcode on them to submit the saving.

Yeah it won't come off automatically. At the self scan's though, the cashier who is manning the self scans should put it through for you, so it's not really a glitch I don't think. There are usually signs next to the self scans in my local store telling you to ask the cashier if you are buying it.

But if your spending the £30 in Tesco, I would say it's a good deal for £6!

I also was charged full price for the San Miguel at the checkout the cashier said it would come off at the end with the discounts but it didn't so a trip to customer services and I received £8 back not bad £2 for 15 bottles

Yeah it happened to me with one of the other offers like this - the customer service desk apologised and refunded.

The offer does not get automatically discounted - a prompt comes up and the cashier needs to press a couple of buttons. So it's probably always best to check it's came off, and if not just pop by customer services on the way out.

I dont understand why you get them for £2, surely the would just refund you £4

It's because they have a 'double the difference' policy, so he got overcharged £4, so got £8 payed back, i.e. £10 beer for £2.

However I think you will just get refunded the £4 overcharge.
