Rubbish brand - odd size, not even full HD or an HD tuner. There is a Sharp deal in the top 5 hot list for £50 more that is a bigger and better set...

Lol, what the hell is odd about a 26" screen? :| There are no end of 26" tv's out there, there are 9 at Argos alone, made by Bush, Sony, Samsung and Panasonic, people like you do make me laugh! There is nothing wrong with Tevion, you even get a 3 year warranty. So you want a tv with 1080p, HD tuner, DVD Player & USB recording for 250 quid, it's not gonna happen X)

1080p on a screen this size is of no benefit.

That Sharp tv may well be cheap but it's carp if you read reviews about it.

I'm not gettting wound up lol, Bigfootpete's "odd size" and rubbish brand comment was stupid as it's not an odd size and plenty of times when these tv's have come up they have been very popular, the 3 year warranty alone is worth having over the Sharp. Anyway, when this is available the Co-op one may not be available anymore, so this might be the next best thing.

The Sharp one hasn't got a DVD player built in.

I'd be tempted to have this in a bedroom. The contrast ratio is a bit rubbish though.

the 3 year g/tee is worth £50 plus alone. iv always found tevion stuff to be good. anyone care to comment?
#10
how can people give comments before 17th oct when the new tevion was not available until then

I've purchased one of these.....well worth the money.....plays divx & mp4 video files as well....these are displayed in good quality as well.Even allows a laptop harddrive enclosure (mines 250GiG) to record onto....with no change in picture quality.
I think an absolute bargain.

Does it play any region DVDs?

1. Is it Nicam Stereo?
2. What format are files saved to on USB?
3. What is this about the contrast above - is the picture good?
I popped into my local ALDI and was confronted with three tv's - two 19" and one 26". The 19" was a hundred quid cheaper and higher res: can't decide.

You don't mention the 3 yr warranty in the OP???

Voted hot cos its probably chillier than it needs to be in here, but we got a Tecknicka (sp) 22" with DVD for about £140 and thats full HD (if it matters on a screen this size) which is fine for a bedroom TV (although didn't have the usb record).

Overall you are correct in that you are not going to get a 26" TV with these functions from a big name brand @ this price

Just got one of these for £199 from my local Aldi in North Bristol.

Looks like they're clearing stock as they had some 19" and 32" with out built in DVD for £89 and £250
