Link? I'd be v surprised if you can get a 26" Samsung LCD with DVD, DivX and PVR functionality for anywhere near this price.

Decent enough specs for a second tv. seems a good deal to me.

Didn't do to well heat wise at £249, they obviously didn't sell too well either, hence the price drop to get rid of them.

32" Isis floating around from bestbuy for 175 ish after cashback. No DVD but disks are old skool.

"First Post so please be gentle."

Thanks OP for posting the deal, but no, always annoys me when I see the 1st post so go easy on me quote. If I ever make a deal post I won't be saying that, if I screw it up then I should get a verbal bashing if that's what people want to do. Wouldn't stop them anyway usually :p

Don't knock Tevion. I've been impressed with their stuff. Their customer support is also fantastic when I've had to call them, if you don't mind talking to "ze germans".

Someone is saying the specs, as far as brightness and contrast go, are rubbish. A recent Sainsbury deal for an emotion 23 inch 1080p got to 365 deg and the brightness on that was 300cdm and contrast 1000:1 which is much worse. I bought that and it is rubbish. As soon as you go a couple of degrees above or below the screen it gets darker or lighter accordingly. I have 2 plasma screens and this was my first LCD and have to say am very disappointed.
Unles someone can advise whether or not my screen is faulty?

There are some good deals at Richer Sounds on quality tv's but you have to check stock locally as the really hot stuff, will not be transferred between branches. For what it's worth, previous experience
with Tevion OK similar in quality to Grundig. I live in Stoke and could have bettered this deal by driving to BRUM.( richer sounds.) as above, but not worth the hassle based on difference.

just bought this product from Aldi. wouldnt play usb media but play vcd,cd, dvd & pictures from cd. have not tried to record with usb yet. freeview pictures keep scrambling but this may be due to my old cable.

@ Alanbee

What Usb media did you try to play? as I got Xvid, DivX & Mpeg4 all to play from a USB stick 8Gb

Try a small usb stick first before plugging in a 500Gb drive just to prove it does work.

A friend from work has a dvd player that plays from usb and it takes it over 1/2 hr to load the libary list from a 250Gb drive.

Hope this helps.
