These are no good as they are too basic to provide any security in the shredding of documents. You can simply place the pieces made side by side and the shredded documents are legible again.

They will end up as a door stop or paper weight. If you are security conscious then a cross cut shredder will do the job.

These have never been worth more than 5-7 pounds.

Well if some is hell bent on stealing your identity and ready to fish out all shredded pieces from your bin bag and put them all side by side then YES the document will be LEGIBLE again.

Well this is meant for everyday home use only. For SECRET and CLASSIFIED documents you should look elsewhere for better options.

Show me another similar one for £5 - £7 pound.

If only you knew what the strip width is and how many strips it makes out of a standard A4 paper. :whistling: I repeat look elsewhere for your SECRET and CLASSIFIED documents. Your comments seems to be inspired by the hollywood movie LORD OF WAR. ;-)

Well done for posting this - you're quite right in what you say. You've posted a deal, it's up to the reader whether they think its good or bad - I think its good - some may think its bad. Less than 8 quid is all some people can afford and some security is better than none!!! - don't let them put you off. Heat given and merry christmas:santa:

I also think it is a good deal. Better than NOT shredding your bank statements etc.

Once all the pieces of paper are mixed up it would be near impossible to manually re-assemble them

Voted hot as an entry level shredder plus bonus of folding it away

That will last you all of 3 months if that, I have been through a few of these. They are ok if you want to only shred 1 or 2 sheets of 80gsm paper at a time. I have since upgraded to a 10 sheet Argos special and it is great for up to 6/7 sheets without strain, that includes junk mail letters.

Strip cut is no good for 'Confidential and top secret ' bank statements and bills etc, spend the extra and save any agro down the road.
