What's the best smells?
Its personal preference really.
A good way to try some out is buy a couple of tarts or tea lights and see if you like the smell before investing in the jars

Not really, I usually sniff them in the packaging and you get a rough idea and the tarts are only £1 ish each.
I bet its not every day that someone posts that a tart is a £1 ! LOL

IMHO the Yankee Reed Diffuser Vanilla Satin 88ml 10214332

If you put the bottle in the hall or in the stairwell the whole house gets fragrance!.

that is true, it just goes to prove that people just see the first post i.e 3-4-2 and vote hot without looking at the price, this is no deal.

I have tried many Yankee candles and found the large candles smell stronger than the smaller ones or the little individual ones. My favourite by far is Vanilla Bourbon Large Jar Candle....It is gorgeous, not too sweet, and the smell goes through the whole house. Even the delivery people or postman comment on it when I open the door....BUT not available in Boots..

thats because they are not the same as tesco's ones the ones in tesco as they are the "Home Inspriations" range formerlly "simply home" & have a lot less throw & a lot less of the fragrance oils & are producted just for the supermarkets ect so a lower quailty & less fragrant version

as I said they are cheaper in other stores, forget which one it is but one of the card shops, especially the outlets, has them cheaper than £44 for 3 and there is also another that does them cheaper as well.

I found Amazon always reasonable for large Yankee jars. Starting at around £15....

The ones that you get from home bargains are really nice and a LOT cheaper.
I think they £2.99. Don't know what's so special about Yankees, I don't think they all that.

So minimum £45 so these are less and you get boots points, interesting though, I will have a look on Amazon.

Also there are loads of different ones in the large section. Many more than in Boots...
Plus you can buy just one at the time so you don't have to fork out £45 in one go...

I did buy the ones from Home Bargains. They are nothing compare to yankees...Burn quicker and hardly any smell,
But each of their own....

You must make sure that your candles are made in AMERICAN, i have just bought one made in the UK, and it does not have the same strong smell that the Americans ones have.
