If you look on that site. The series, some episodes are split into two parts. If you combine all the part one to part 2, you will get to the magical number of 21 episodes.

Well if you want to be shocked more, you should get the books rather then the DVD.

Although well drawn the programmes are not a patch on the original books. I still read them nowadays and they still make me laugh. Its also worth noting that the earlier books (tintin in the congo and the like) were written in the 1930's when Europe was more racist than nowadays and the books should be read with that in mind.

Speaking of racism in kids books, old favourite Rupert the bear has been known to have a few politically incorrect stories in the past...

And while you're on that site, be sure to subscribe to the Aryan Unity newsletter, there's a lovely group of chaps in the heart-warming pursuit of creating 'unity between White Nationalist groups worldwide'.

Yes as I knew of a few scans online of this book I ran a google search on rupert bear and racist and that page was the second link. The first had a virus warning.

You read that sh*t on there? I didn't :|

A great Tv show but its probably a little foul mouthed by todays standards.

is perhaps the most explicit scene in the show's history

I have to say although we'd all be appalled if anybody wrote that now it doesn't look overtly racist as such. Just rather naive.

These are great dvds to watch with the kids.

In Herge's day TinTin wasn't racist at all - just representative of a world ruled by white europeans and populated with shifty hispanics, greedy jews, cruel orientals and dangerously revolutionary eastern europeans.

Pure magic.

WHAT TIN TIN RACIST NO F****N WAY I DONT SEE ANY RACISM IN IT AT ALL AND IM BLACK SED N DUNN WIV

Thanks very much for this, I was looking at this a few months ago. It's a shame it doesn't have the original french language as an option to listen to. Only English is available in the UK, HMV had an exclusive boxset a couple of years that had loads of different language options but it has been discontinued now.

Are you for real? Of course it was racist, it was just tolerated by the powers to be that were racist themselves

Would of loved this had I still been a child, but it isn't as good when you are an adult.
