Tintin, the world's most famous boy reporter embarked on his very first adventure in1929. From the beginning he was accompanied by his faithful dog, Snowy and for more than half a century this intrepid pair journeyed to exploits around the world. Along the way they encountered a colourful cast of characters who have become familiar to generations of children and adults: Captain Haddock, Thompson and Thomson, Professor Calculus and Oliveira da Figueira among many others.

The eternally youthful Tintin celebrated his 75th birthday in 2004 and you can enjoy all of his adventures with this 10 disc box set featuring all 21 adventures.

These are the original animations - they were just cut into chunks to make the series.

Synopsis
Originally appearing as a comic strip in a childrens' supplement to a Belgian newspaper in 1929, Tintin was written and illustrated by Georges Remi (that is R.G, and subsequently Herge.) In 1992 most of the books were faithfully and painstakingly animated in the spirit of the original adventures. Join the iconic boy reporter Tintin, and his faithful canine sidekick Snowy, Captain Haddock, Professor Calculus and The Thompson Twins in this compendium of thrilling Tintin tales.

Well, having watched them, they appear no different to what i remember watching during the school holidays in the 80s.

I would continue to say five star.

You must of had a time machine tv then :p

I Love TinTin and next time these come up will probably buy them but will miss the voice characterisations of Dallas McKennon and Paul Frees. :)

Why a time machine?

TinTin animated movies chopped into 15/20 minute chunks shown at about 10 am all through the summer holidays. These are just like what I - now - know to be the original animations from the 60s and 70s.

30 odd years is a long time.

Well worth 7 notes.
