The Bank Job is inspired by an extraordinary true event - a daring robbery that took place in the 70's, with a haul valued higher than that of the Great Train Robbery. Yet almost as soon as the 'Walkie Talkie Bank Job' happened, a gagging order was placed on the story and it disappeared completely from the media.

Only now, over 30 years later, has the fascinating story come to light and the truth behind a right royal scandal been exposed. Directed by Roger Donaldson (The Recruit, Species), The Bank Job reveals an amazing backstory where for once the criminals were the most innocent ones involved.

I would expect nothing less from Jason Statham. His films are a bit like Mcdonalds. you know what you are going to get so don't moan when you are finished. I enjoyed the nostagia of it.

not the best film around but its ok , better to watch it rather than not , the ending is a little questionable but each to there own , the film seems to aim for high emotive schenes but they just dont carry as well as hoped , an example is the lookout on the roof playing athe same sort of will he wont he as is playued out with the guns on the bridge in lock stock , its almost there but not quite , would i watch it again ? not sure

a better one of his is crank , picked it up last week at asda for 3 quid , its accually very very good and well worth watching a few times , between this ive also got transporter which is awfull and of course snatch which is an epic film in its own right

no im not a fan , just got way too many films
