With the HMV Deal of £40 flying around at the moment, I wanted to post this one and see people's opinions on how this valued and if it was worth paying the extra for the 'better' instruments. Cheapest I could find was £109.99 on

Also £92.97 on xBox 360 but I am after a PS3 Version Personally

No stock in my two nearest stores for the £40 deal, and worth paying more for this anyway IMO.
I don't know what to do as £50 is a big difference but will have a think. Thought I would have had some more comments to tempt me
I have the GH:WT instruments on PS3 but play with RockBand 2 which IMO is a much more fun game. I bought a few of my relatives the original RockBand instrument sets when they were £32 at Smyths (the same instruments as the 'value pack') and to be honest the quality was very poor in comparison with the GH: WT ones.
Got this for 89.99 from hmv before Xmas. Have only tried the guitar so far but very impressed and better than Guitar Hero World Tour guitar. Will try the drums tomorrow!
so am i right in thinking you'd still have to get a standard guitar on top of this set?

as you only get drums, bass and mics?
You get drums, guitar and mic. Guitar is fine for playing either instrument line. The quality of the instruments is extremely high, and the Limited Edition instruments are wireless, unlike the 'band in a box' or the value Beatles edition for 360. This will also work with GH World Tour which you could pick up for 7.99 from HMV online before Xmas - don't know if they still have stock or not.
