Tesco stores have the Bee Movie for £12 with 300 extra Clubcard points. If you convert the points to Clubcard deals, I make it that you effectively get the movie for free (correct me if I'm wrong please).

It's also mentioned on their web site, but the link takes you to Tesco jersey, where the price is higher (if anyone finds a direct working link, please can you post it). so the offer may be in-store only.

From creator Jerry Seinfeld comes "Bee Movie," a comedy that will change everything you thought you knew about bees. Take a close look at the world through the eyes of one bee in particular - Barry B. Benson (Jerry Seinfeld). A recent college graduate, Barry wants more out of life than the inevitable career that awaits him and every other worker in New Hive City - a job at Honex... making honey. Barry jumps at the chance to venture out of the hive, and soon encounters a world beyond his wildest dreams. When Barry inadvertently meets a quirky florist named Vanessa (Renee Zellweger), he breaks one of the cardinal rules of beedom - he talks to her. A friendship soon develops, and Barry gets a guided crash course in the ways of the human race. When he shockingly discovers that anyone can purchase honey right off the grocery store shelf, he realizes that his true calling is to stop the injustice and set the world right by suing the human race for stealing the bees` precious honey.

Well I certainly wouldnt buy it just to do this trick, as you'll probably find that you cant return it for copyright reasons. Its one of those products along with pierced jewellery, underwear and some cosmetics that you cant normally return, unless obviously theres some terrible problem with it like the disk doesnt work or something in which case you're more likely to get an exchange than a refund anyway.
#12
Think this is £9 in Asda

Just in case you don't have tesco's near you.
#13
anyone know if i could use a till split too? got one for extra 250 points if spend 12 on dvd or cds.
#14
when you get the points sent through all you need to do is use the clubcard deals online and you get back 4x the amount which equates to £12 http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/

That and the fact the points would be deducted from your account when you return the item. Tesco arent thick! The return barcode at the bottom of the receipt contains all the clubcard details etc for just such situations...
#16
Dunno if I'm being a bit thick and missing somthing obvious here but 300 clubcard points is only equivalent to £3.00. So in effect you'd be paying £9 for the DVD and not getting it for free.

Or is there some other trick to use?
#17
300 points are worth £3 cash in Tesco, but people are talking about how they are worth £12 in Tesco deals x4 the points value.

Hope that helps
#18
WH SMITH has been movie for £9.99 so this is not a good offer
#19
Asda does have it for £9, both instore and online. :)

Oh I see, never yet saw a tesco clubcard deal I've been tempted by, use my vouchers on groceries. I suppose if you have your eye on something it'll be a good deal.

I don't see how this is a great offer..............

Instore at Adsa £9.00! Also special packs have an Asda exclusive Bee Movie Staionary set attached to them.

Doubt you could beat this offer!
#23
right so how is £9 better then free if you spend your points in a clubcard deal??
#24
Cos not everyone has a clubcard and it take 3 months to get the points,,,,,,who would want to do that?

Plus its not free unless you were going to buy whatever you are using the points on in the first place! Der!!!
#25
It is a good deal for all those Clubcard addicts out there, for those who deal purely
in cash terms best stick with Asda deal.

So waiting 3 months is a problem, for what reason?

Clubcard pay for at least 2 holidays a year and a xmas treat or 2 at goldsmiths,
Who would want to do that? derr!!

You are throwing money out of the window, better to sell them on for more than to spend them in store. Such a wide range of deals always something to spend them on. I love tescos paying for my holidays.

Yes you can.

I bought this on the day they started the promo, great deal for all the clubcard tarts out there, certainly helping me towards my Florida holiday, can't believe how easy it is when they do deals like this! I bet they don't repeat this with all new releases, we'd all be laughing if they did!:w00t:

It's so funny / scary how some people's lives are ruled by Tesco.

Terrible isn't it, I hate it when I get my holiday abroad paid for every year, this year they will have only paid for 2 holidays, a diamond ring and matching earings oh and a few family day outs.

Do most of my food shopping in farm foods and asda but use my loaf to max my CC points. Terrible I know.

Is it a hot deal or not!

FFS.....
#33
whilst you keep telling yourself they haven't, I will be on the way to the south of france safe in the knowledge they have.

Whilst Tesco are aware of your every move and can now send you targeted mailings and offers regarding holiday products! Hurrah! ;-)

I hate being sent details of special offers, I prefer to pay in full.

Speaking from experience (I have worked at Tesco for 5 years) I can emphatically tell you that, even though returns desk staff are supposed to deduct any bonus pints earnt they never, ever do...I use most of my clothes vouchers in this way and have never had points taken off (they never scan the barcode at the bottom as they can't prove what the points were earnt on in the frst place....Their loss-my gain.............

Have never had any problems returning DVD's to any Tesco

A lot of people go for the Clubcard deals now, so they would in effect get the DVD free. Worthwhile if you want the film and are going to Tesco anyway.

Then don't buy this movie in Tesco!!! I posted this deal for people who have a Clubcard. Are you suggesting I should not have posted the deal just because you don't shop at Tesco?? How selfish is that?
