I going to give it a try, we have got 5 cats in total either side of us. Of course our garden is their toilet!

I had one of these, next door neighbours have about 10 chuffin cats, it certainly worked although it only lasted about 2 yrs and now it caput, but cats have never come back

I have used the B&Q badged version of the above. I was sick of neighbours cats constantly soiling my newly turned over garden.
I have never seen a cat running away, but I have had a clean garden since. It worked for me.

mine took the little sqaure ones (same as you put in a fire alram) and must admit dont last to long, a month or so, the noise they make is annoying when they go off, (it isnt loud, you wouldnt hear it if indoors) and i used to turn mine off when kids out in garen playing as it would be continually on, but t did work i used to have to go and check before letting kids out for cat shat, and nearly every day had to clean some up, got one of these and it stopped, and like i say it hasnt been in use for years but still no cats come in, and the cats still about, just dont enter my garden

We've had a cat problem since we moved in - tried one of these, and it had no effect at all :/

Best to get some dry lion/tiger **** and sprinkle that on the lawn - keeps all cats away !!!

yep tried that too, as useful as a chocolate fireguard....

i usually find scaring the **** out the cat works......at my last house i grabbed the next door neighbours rodent (cat) and shouted at it and said id skin it alive if it ******* in my garden again.....never saw it again nor any **** in our garden for 6 years...prob is the cats in my new house are too fast!!

heard that is the best option too and the theory seems to make sense as cats are territorial (my mums always had rodents, i mean cats) but kinda defeats the object...plus you have to keep getting new lion **** every few months

failing that try a flame thrower

I bought this a while back, Its pretty good, though Ive tied mine to a long bit of string. So when youve hit your target, you can pull it back in without putting your shoes on.

What's the battery compartment for anyway?
