After the release of Jake Blues (John Belushi) from prison, he and brother Elwood (Dan Akroyd) go to visit the orphanage where they were raised by nuns.

They learned that the church stopped its support and will sell the place unless the tax on the property is paid within 11 days.

The brothers decide to raise the money by putting their blues band back together and staging a big gig. They may be on a 'mission from god' but they're making enemies everywhere they go.

Featuring performances by some of blues finest:
James Brown, Can Balloway, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin and co-starring John Candy, Carrie Fisher, Henry Gibson and Steve Lawrence.

One of my faves - IMHO THE best movie soundtrack... EVER!

yep, this is one of my favourite films of all time. We played it that much that now if you put the tape into a VCR it damages the machine.. been meaning to update to the DVD for quite some time ..

Just ordered as something extra for my sisters birthday, Saves her killing the video copy even more.

Cheers!! :)

Classic film at a very good price -
If you fancy the "box set" with both films there's a cheap copy here on base.com for £8.95

Yes the second one isn't a classic but the music and collection of musicians that they bring together is superb so it's nice to have both (I got the 2 disc set from HMV about 5 years ago for a fiver - still love them both)

Do you mean Sendit? I've used them for years and never had a problem. Aside from Play.com, i'd say they're the best in terms of cost and reliability when it comes to a DVD website.

You are so missing out! You have to watch it just to see the following:

"what car is this?"
"five-five"
"Hi, this is car 55 - we're in truck!"

Classic scene!

Yes it was Sendit . Only tried once for a deal off HUKD and poor response and still never received the item. In fact still waiting for reply to a query.
