want to help out, rather than wasting time and sending useless emails to ebay, just open an auction and list a link to http://www.poppyshop.org.uk. and reserve the right to close the auction at any time.

an auction is free on ebay.

lovely item!! just ordered x

Just emailed all the sellers (via ebay sellers page) I could currently find with the following question :- Is this the same one The Royal British Legion are selling on their website (http://www.poppyshop.org.uk/Default.aspx?tabid=57&ProductID=213) for £9.99 + £2 p&p ?

This question and the reply will be published on the sellers ebay auction webpage which will let people know they and the RBL are being ripped off.

This is a subtle jewelry item, more to do with self adornment, and i doubt whether any more money goes to British Legion than your standard paper poppy.

I see nothing wrong with ebayers selling this item at whatever price they like

Questions and answers only go on the auction page if the seller chooses to post them there when answering, it does not happen automatically.

So where does this poppy appeal money actually go? I've had family die and injured in wars, they never got a penny or much help?

Probably people who sell them on ebay maybe have there own family to think about and need the money? who knows, not saying its right but who says going to war is right?

Shouldn't our own Government be taking care of our troops and not leaving it to the public.

Btw im not saying its right to sell them on ebay as i wouldn't do it myself but im not going to judge either as i don't know if people are just doing it for greed or desperate need.

If they died for our freedom, then surely people are free to buy and sell what they wish?

Unless you have a problem with capitalism, commie :{

Swines, profiteering from a charity. One of the many reasons I hate eBay. I have ordered one and a lapel pin. Hot.

Agree with some of your points in that as a nation we should look after those who make the put their lives on the line for the rest of us, but there is unfortunateley a minority of people who could not give a toss about our ex troops and would happily profiteer from any appeal and ebay gives them the perfect place for it. They should be taken down and the only place available should be via the RBL as this is the only way you can make sure it will benefit the right people. Sorry about those in ur family/friends who did not get any help in the past

Think youll find that quite alot of people are profiteering from a charity, its sad but true.

Btw why are people buying them from ebay when you can get them for £9.99 were they out of stock or something?

Well then you've prematurely expired because at this point in time there are 806 showing in stock!

http://www.poppyshop.org.uk/Default.aspx?tabid=57&CategoryID=12&List=1&catpageindex=2&Level=a&ProductID=213

It has dropped stock by about 70 in the last 5 minutes though. From 911 to 875 to 806.

EDIT: Since starting this reply stock has dropped again to 784. That's 127 sold in under 5 minutes!!!! I suspect this will be OOS again very soon!!!! Get in quick if you want one and/or would like to support a worthy cause.

EDIT 2:...... Now at 776!!!!!!! That's another 8 sold in the matter of about 30 seconds!!!!

Thanks op, ordered for myself and my good wife.
#37
Since I posted above the stock has dropped by 259!!!!!!!! They'll be sold out by 1pm at this rate.
#38
OMG how slow is this web site! fully in favour of supporting this worthwhile cause along with all other posters on here (shows it is close to a lot of people) but feel they must sort the web site as will lose custom because people have not got all day.

come on RBL please get it sorted
