Have a look on YouTube... it's on the internet... there's bound to be loads of Clash on there.

Got all their albums (inc the mostly awful Cut The ****) and some bootlegs but for £2.99 this can't be passed up; THE best British 'rock' band ever, especially live. Have some Heat + Rep OP

Falls on a Triumph line
I got my motorcycle jacket
But I'm walking all the time
South Atlantic wind blows
Ice from a dying creed
I see no glory
When will we be free

This is England
We can chain you to the rail
This is England
We can kill you in a jail

And you think that's mostly awful!!!!!
Get with it son! that's yer f****n heritage!!

My friend, I did write mostly awful, obviously there is some great stuff on it and the lyrics are pretty much all great, just the production and tunes are on the whole forgettable.

As for the plonker cheapskate58 - move on fella. I've been lucky enough to see The Who, U2, Oasis, The Verve, S*x Pistols, The Jam as well as The Clash amongst many others live and, er, how do I put this? The Clash poo on them from a great height when it comes to live performances, although some of the others were very good (Pistols and The Who in particular).

How you can mention those bands in the same sentence and try to maintain a level of credibility I don't know.

Unless you've seen Queen, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Thin Lizzy, AC/DC, UFO, and The Who, (with Moon), then you'll never know how daft your post really is!!!:p

^^^^
YAWN - and you saw The Clash live how many times to compare against the others? My guess would be zero so, er, how can YOU claim credibility?

FYI I've seen Queen (twice) and AC/DC (once), both great in their own right but as brilliant as The Clash live? Not in my opinion.

Anyway, this is not a "my band is better than your's thread" so we'll have to agree to disagree ....

YAWN

WTF is that supposed to mean? That you're a student ******* who never grew up?

If you sincerely think that The Clash are the best live act in rock history, you are just plain stupid.

Fanaticism is OK on one level but really is daft in the cold light of day!

There are myriad measures to assess the "greatness" of a live act. The Clash won't feature in the top 5 or top 10 or probably top 20 of any of them.

So yes, I disagree:p

Well the last two gigs I went to was the Chuckle Brothers' and let me tell you those boyz know how to rock and would blow The Clash away any old day.

How many times did anyone see Joe Strummer sigining autographs in the foyer after a gig?!

DOUBLE YAWN for the dinosaur who probably sniffs a drum stool Keith Moon once s(h)at on. Another DOUBLE YAWN for good measure. Idiots let loose on PC's make this interweb thing very annoying at times .....

CD arrived this morning.
Anyone else got theirs yet?
London Calling & Rock The Casbah sound different from what I remember.
Have they been remixed?
When I played Rock The Casbah I thought my mobile was going off!! lol
