Since when has this chicken been £12.50 per kg? Where do they get these prices from?

Its £9.72 a Kilo at Sainsburys for diced chicken, £12.50 isnt wide off the mark for there higher welfare chicken

Watch out there Chicken Police about.

How the can charge £5 for this in the first place i dont know ???

why dont they sell things in 1lbs or 454g as most recipes are in LBS

My local Abattoir which has a butchers shop on site (OPEN TO THE PUBLIC) sells Diced chicken for £2 a pound all day every day (and they buy it in as they dont process chickens there)

Minced Beef = 90p lb
Stewing Beef = £1 lb

i think the difference is that they are probably 20 in a cage with 4 articificial day and nights in 24 hours - this chicken is a bit more expensive for something with less chemicals and less water - worth a few more pence in my humble opinion.

Unlike most of the Chicken Police on here, i have actually studied Agriculture and have worked in a battery farm suitaution, so i fully understand the conditions, and have a better understanding of animal welfare than most.

I like the animal activists showing pictures of nice cute little Bunnies instead of Rats, because most people couldn't give a *UCK about the Rat.

I dont know how the shops can charge what they do and get away with it as the Market Prices are published by DEFRA and are availible on the web
