I cannot believe they created an engine from the ground up for the wii, then shopped it around for 6 months before being picked up by sega, who else? then came out with this game only for it to flop miserably.

This game was billed as "360/ps3 comparable graphics on the wii". We already know the wii is less powerful than the original xbox.

Anyhoo, the worst part is this game is less than mediocre at best and metroid prime trilogy looks 10 times better.

wow thanks :D heat added

8.6 from IGN

Summary:
"It's not revolutionary, but the Conduit is a great first-person shooter designed just for Wii owners. While the game does not turn the genre upside-down, it is innovative in certain areas -- for example, it features the most customizable, precise and enjoyable controls of any console shooter created, hands down. Meanwhile, the technology powering the experience is leaps and bounds ahead of most third- party offerings for Nintendo's system. Combined, you've got a game that controls flawlessly and looks great. If you're okay with a few presentational cliches -- a story involving aliens that seems played out -- and a shooting experience that rarely strays from straightforward running and gunning, you're probably going to love the end product. If, on the other hand, you own another system, nothing The Conduit offers, fantastic controls aside, will seem extraordinary. Supposing you are a single console owner, though, High Voltage's shooter not only delivers a fun single-player quest, but an engaging online mode that will keep you fragging complete with WiiSpeak support for months to come.

Thanks for that sounds okay. Great for a tenner!

Heard the online play on this game is pretty good. defo worth £10/
#12
Excellent price, Thanks

Aaargh. I was seriously tempted by this when it first came out. Ten pounds is pretty good. But I'm deep in to Modern warfare Reflex atm. The fact that the conduit supports wiispeak is great for the multiplayer, something which infinity ward/activision heinously neglected to add in MWR:x

I ordered civ 4 this afternoon for a fiver as well.....the agony.
#14
Good graphics for wii worth a tenner.
#15
This game is rubbish unfortunately, it's worth 10 quid though.
#16
I thought it was a good game.

Worth £14 at CEX anyway :)
#17
Did someone post a review from IGN? :/
#18
Great price, looks worth a tenner judging by some of the trailers I've viewed. Think my son will love it, although hes into COD Modern Warfare, Halo at the mo, I'm hoping it'll be a hit! anything with shooting! if not I'm sure I can punt it on for a tenner! :-D

The reviews are great. Loads of 10/10 and 9/10 on this site.

For £10 I can't go wrong ordered and heat and cred added.
I am on holiday for the next 2 weeks so when it arrives on Saturday I will have non stop fun. Especially the recommended online game. I just have to work out how to use wii speak and get a headset at a good price.:-D:thumbsup:

From http://uk.gamespot.com/wii/action/theconduit/review.html
one of the few exclusive first-person shooters for the Wii, The Conduit has garnered a lot of attention. From a technical perspective, The Conduit is an undeniable success. The controls in particular are outstanding, finely tuned to make gunning down enemies while sprinting around the battlefield fun and satisfying. Visually, the game is also top-notch, filling the screen with enemies, explosions, and fancy lighting effects, without the slightest drop in frame rate. However, as entertaining as The Conduit can be, the bland level design and relentless monotony of the single-player campaign create an air of sleepy boredom, and the multiplayer is too unremarkable to entertain for long. The Conduit has an impressive backbone, but it's too generic to capitalize on any of those technical feats.

Gamespot review 6.5, user review 8.1 Metacritic average 7.2

Was gonna pick it up, but now I'll save my ££££
