Devil's Night: For rock star Eric Draven (Brandon Lee) and his girlfriend Shelley, the night they meet their brutal demise at the hands of the inner city's most notorious characters. Exactly a year later, Eric is brought back to life and granted the powers of superhuman strength and vision in order that he may seek vengeance on those who killed him - all under the watchful eye of a mysterious crow. One by one Eric seeks out the gang, who are out for another evening of mayhem and violence, unaware of the fate that awaits them.

A whole penny cheaper at Amazon, but you have the addition of QuidCo at HMV.

Point of note though: The transfer to Blu-ray appears to be the same as that presented on the "Collector's Edition" DVD, so if you already own this (like I do), then you may not see any benefit to buying the Blu-ray edition.

The "Special Features" (extra content) on this Blu-ray release consist of:

* Behind-the-scenes featurette
* Feature commentary track with producer Jeff Most & screenwriter John Shirley
* Profile of James O'Barr
* Extended scenes
* Deleted footage montage
* Original poster concepts
* Production design stills
* Storyboards
* French-language track

If true then the the Blu is only worth £4 for me. I wont vote cold though as at the end of the day it is a good deal if you really want the Blu Ray!

This was Brandon Lee's "Break Through" film, he'd done other less commercial stuff but this would've been the first of many hits for the much underated Star. It's from the graphic novel by James O Barr and remains as fresh now as it was on it's release. A real treat for fans of such films as Batman Dark Knight and worth every penny of your £7.99 BARGAIN!

One of my favourite movies, but I think Brandon also showed promise (as an actor, & fight choreographer) in "Rapid Fire". His performance in "Showdown in Little Tokyo" wasn't bad either.
