Brilliant band, a great introductory album and a superb price. What more could you want?

Great band, good price.

Great Price, In the past its been very hard to fine any of their CD's reduced in price,
I remember back in my youth buying their albums on TAPE !! to play in my car and they were always around the £10 mark considerably more than other bands at the same time . . . . .The greedy sods - but then again I don't suppose all that "make-up" came cheap . . . .
#5
Mixed up is the only CURE album you need.

This is a good price though

Cure fans would disagree, Mixed Up is the only Cure album you don't need, along with 80% of Wild Mood Swings lol.

my teenage son loves the Cure, the only song I can remember is Killing an Arab! Ordered, thanks.

I always loved the Boys Don't Cry album. '10.15 Saturday night' - classic Cure track!

10.15 Oh Yes that is one classic track - In my dim and distant past I do remember waiting in my kitchen, the sink tap dripping waiting for the clock to reach 10.15 just to play it,
( I was young and no doubt drunk at the time )

Also trying to sing along to Burn like a Fire in Cairo - "" F.I.R.E.I.N.C.A.I.R.O.""

But my "current favourite" Cure track has to " Pictures of You "

I used to love "Pictures Of You" but having heard it for the nth time played live, I am tiring of it.

Too many good Cure songs (including a plethora of B-Sides), if I was pushed to have to choose a favourite, for me it would have to be "Figurehead".

A Forest  :w00t:

Remember seeing an awesome, strung out, mega reverb version of them playing that track live on MTV & it's stayed as my favourite Cure track since.
#15
A forest or Primary for me.

In my youth I saw them live and the one track I rember is A forest where Robert Smith did a 5 minute guitar solo. AWESOME.

Yes, for me they peaked with that track and started to go down hill after the Head on the Door album.

Good price :)

Worth checking out Play as they quite often have most of their albums on sale for £4.99 each; I've managed to get their whole back catalogue for £4.99 a CD from Play

This album is a bit 'later years heavy' I feel.

Dunno if I'd pick Figurehead or A Strange Day from Pornography, but the whole album fits together so beautifully it's tough to pick a "best" track.

Not a side of the Cure which is represented on this compilation, but what the heck, the poppy stuff is a lot of fun too!

Yeah, they seem to have most of the stuff for a fiver at the moment.

There are also deluxe editions available for many of the albums, two-disc sets where the first disc has a remastered version of the album, and the second has a bunch of B-sides, demos, rarities and live tracks from around the same era. A lot of fun for the true fanatics, although not cheap at £12-£14 each!
