After a tumultuous career across the 90s and 00s (part-documented in Ondi Timoner's now-legendary 'Dig' film), Oregon indie-rockers The Dandy Warhols release their seventh album proper. Coming out on the band's own Beat The World label in the US and V2 in the UK, 'Earth To The Dandy Warhols' sees the band grounding their sound after the comparatively experimental 'Odditorium Or the Warlords Of Mars', with sections of driving Americana and light psychedelia dominating proceedings. Only on the epic closer 'Musee D'Nougat' do the band surrender to their indulgent tendencies, sampling French language vocals and slightly ambient synthesizers. Notably, Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits and Mike Campbell of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers also make instrumental contributions on 'Love Song'.
