It is a classic, so what if it's in black and white, it gives it atmosphere like the original Twilight Zone and Outer Limits.

The remake wasn't a patch on this and you didn't hear Klattu barada nikto mentioned.

Have to say the new version was a bit erm ... well ... yeah. Watched last night in HD and it showed signes of promise at the start, but it just lost its way towards the end.

Have some heat for this one though.

Let's get the facts right here and now ..... this film was made in 1951 and was a landmark in SCI FI. If you are expecting twentieth century CGI, you are going to be sadly disappointed. If you want a film which is truely inspiring for it's day, then this is a film to watch.

If you like watching 'no brain' SCI FI, then watch something like Chronicles Of Riddick ........ if your into thinking SCI FI, then watch this (or maybe CONTACT).

Let's face it though - the cinema industry must be 'really' struggling at the moment for new ideas.... War of the Worlds, TDTESS, Star Trek ........ what next? THE BLOB!?

Re-inventing Star Trek is not a new phenomenom :) And it looks bloody awesome. Lets hope it delivers.

They are making a new Blob movie.

Anyone heard of Michael Morcock? It's about time they made some Elric movies and the rest of the re-incarnations.

Elric and The Dancers at the End of Time would be brilliant.

Michael Kane stories.
