'An End Has A Start' is the second album from moody, Birmingham-based indie quartet the Editors and follows 2005's critically acclaimed 'The Back Room'. As with their debut, production comes from ex-Compulsion guitarist turned Grammy Awardwinner, Jacknife Lee, while many of the tracks continue to display their love for influential Mancunians, Joy Division. The single, 'Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors' is included.

Go you, protecting their honour and everything.

They're still not going to sleep with you.

A wonderful album (do they still call them albums?) - sort of a cross between Joy Division and the Chameleons for all of you who remember the late 70's/early 80's. Great price too of course.

Time for a Chameleons reunion methinks - hugely underrated band with a very distinctive sound - if you`ve never heard of them , check out "split in 2 " on youtube ( i was at that gig!)

Don't know The Sound so I went on Spotify to have a listen. I'd say much more Echo & the Bunnymen than Chameleons. Like it though!

Agreed , though "strange times" pushes it close and does have the sublime "tears" on it.

Went to one of their gigs back in the day and "birdy" got laryngitis an hour before the band were due to go on- instead of cancelling, the band took to the stage and asked if anyone in the audience knew the words to the songs. A member of the audience was duly selected and took to the stage as guest vocalist.

Gig finished in chaos about 2 minutes later as the poor sod forgot all the words !

Those were the days.....

Rep to the OP for the heads up on this one - though I plumped for play with 4% Quidco. Only a few pennies saved but they make pounds them things! I'll potentially have to wait a little longer to get my hands on it than if I'd ordered from amazon but I can live with that :)
