The link goes to play.com does it not

This must be another platinum title release, you can pre-order, although the release date isn't until 5/9/08

Actually I'm not sure about it being a budget release - it's not on the current or upcoming PS3 Platinum release list on Wikipedia. I wondered if Play.com were out of stock and have got the RRP wrong, cos no other sites are doing this game this cheap. Next best PS3 version is £26 at The Hut(I think) - also the best Xbox 360 price is £29.99

Also OP has to edit the error in the title - and add the various Play.com vouchers available at the moment surely.

Shame you posted before me lol. Hot deal

Thanks, Pre-ordered and heat added.

Hopefully it's not a mis-price.

A brilliant game even at twice the price. I have to admit that I can't stand RPG's (I thought Final Fantasy was rubbish and I tried for hours to get in it) but this game will keep you addicted for months.

great price for a great game

This is definitely a great game but having played the pc version with mods, I would never touch vanilla oblivion. Good price though.

Wow - bargain

Must be Platinum range as they have it listed for sale as £32.99 too which you can buy now

This was announced as part of the platinum range by Sony at E3, but then when the list of Platinum games for Europe came out after the show Oblivion was missing. Maybe they have finally added it to the list the same as the US?

Either way this is a fantastic game and one that will take you weeks and weeks and weeks to finish so you probably work out paying a few pence per hour of gameplay!

Good spot and great price...

Does anyone know if you can play the expansion packs on their own. Or do you carry on from the original once completed?

Only asking becasue I've completed the original on the 360 and have been waiting for a deal on this edition on the 360. This seems a good deal, but I don't fancy playing through the original again just to play the add ons!

Don't mind not having the gamer points!

Cheers

I've got the feeling that the platinum release is not GOTY edition, i.e. you won't get shivering isles.. Isn't this add-on alone about £10 for 360?

Edit: Just noticed it's not released until September... so maybe there is something a brewing for this to be a platinum title after all.

Bought this last week from play.com for £24.99 now listed at £32.99. Yoyo pricing.

This must be a platinum release.

It is a first person action RPG.

For those asking about whether the expansion packs come included, as far as I know the PS3 game has never not come with the expansion packs. The expansion pack came out on other systems before the PS3 had even launched, so when the PS3 version came along it included them as standard.

The expansion pack alone is about 30 hours of gameplay. I'm not joking when I say that this game will take you ages to finish. You get your moneys worth here, thats for sure.

Brilliant deal. Bought this GOTY edition months ago for £25 and its still my favourite game for the PS3.

This game is sooooo good. I have been playing for 120 hours on the pc since I bought the game 2 years ago (I don't have much time to play unfortunately, so end up playing a few hours each week). I am still no where from finishing and have barely played any of the expansion packs. When I'll buy a PS3, this is the first game I'll get, even at double this price. Voted HOT!

The original one for PS3 (light yellow cover) came with the Knights of the Nine expansion pack, and the GOTY edition (dark brown cover) came with Knights of the Nine and also Shivering Isles.

This one says GOTY so I expect it to have both :)

I have this game and it is amazingly good. The problem with the PS3 Game of the Year edition is that it has a major bug in it. Once you become a vampire you cannot change back. This is something Bethesda know about but are unwilling to fix via a patch that could easily be posted on the Playstation Network. If you request assistance, there response is to restart the game, which is not good if you put in many, many hours before becoming a vampire.

The only real fix is to get a copy on a none GOTY edition and complete task and save game, then go back to the GOTY edition.

You can find many discusions on this by googling "Vampirism cure PS3 oblivion glitch"

This is definately the Platinum version of the game and the site now shows this.
