Definitely a good price, I'd say go for it as the cheapest i've seen it is for the basic edition with bioshock for a tenner. Just seen the deluxe game of the year edition is just the small dlcs over the standard goty edition - have to be honest, not sure they're worth £1 odd, depends if you replay as the benefits of some of the keeps, strongholds are only good if you play a mage, fighter, etc.

Bought it and morrowind since morrowind is more expensive but better overall (in my opinion) and together they come to just over £20. Oblivion for 6 is awesome though.
#10
Should come with a warning - you will lose hours..... :)

Fantastic game, worth alot more than six pounds imo.
Buy it!

Brilliant game for the PC which I have. Playing the 360 version now, very addictive.

BEST.....GAME.....EVER! Be prepared to loose about 120 hours of your life to this; seriously it takes that long if you do everything, maybe longer if there's some missions you find that i missed.

There are 4-5 days of deals coming up because of Quakecon. If you have just bought Morrowind today along with Oblivion, you're going to be gutted when it comes up for sale later in the week.

First rule of Steam sales: NEVER buy any games that aren't the daily deals until the last day of the sale.

Ohh, Dealspwn shout out. Nice.

full of bugs this game even with the patches

if you want RPG, but Fallout 3 which is absolutely amazing.

I played both, Oblivion is better in my opinion. Oblivion is a massively ambitious game that almost pulls it off. Oblivion has far more atmosphere, I haven't found any game of this type that doesn't have bugs and also problems such as NPC similarity or repetitive dialog, we don't have true A.I. yet, quite a way off, so there will always be problems with trying to portray a fantasy world via a computer.

I agree. I loved Oblivion and had heard only great things about Fallout 3. I started and finished Fallout 3 including all of the side quests i found and found it a massive let down. Far too over hyped and a boring, featureless environment. Nothing as good as Oblivion!

do not under any circumstances buy this game.

you will only love it, it will ruin your life and your other half will forget who you are ! lol.
#25
I stopped playing the 360 version as it wasn't a patch on Morrowind. However some of the mods look incredible so i'm sure I can now change it into the game I always wanted :)
#26
the leveling system in this game is so broken its untrue. Luckily there are patches that fix it and can change it into a much much better experience. The problem is the entire world levels up with you, so you still have trouble battling a rat at level 40.
#27
Awesome deal, this game will eat you're life before purchasing please make you're girlfirends/wife etc aware of this fact as you wont have time for them lol
#28
when considering how many hours (and i mean HOURS!!) of entertainment you get, this is really really good value for money...very nice game (I've yet to try any of the mods, but following posts in this thread, i'll have to give it a go)

Am recommending to a couple of my friends. Thanks OP

Hot, but something about Oblivion, i just loving having the game case with the map and booklet!

not that bad again, very old tat now.... though my partners son at the age of 10 seems to be addicted to it and living in the world, will not stop repeating the words from it, think if he does not take time out i might give his game away...lol

Now looks like the deal has expired.

The DOOM pack has now replaced this :-(
