Amazing price!!

But absolutely NO extra's on the boxset :(

BUT

if you check Ebay out there is a guy who has made DVD of Equalizer Interviews with Edward Woodward and the cast, loads of background info as well and you even get shown round the flat they used as well.

Edit : Just checked it out there is nearly 4 hours worth of extras on the ebay dvd

How is any of that interesting? DVD extras are the most overrated thing in home entertainment.

Ya kidding me. right

You mean with films, yes they do over kill it BUT

it your into a series and especially a series in the 80's and before there was no means of getting this information about the series and characters then and even now

These is absoutely nothing on the Equalizer boxset and those fans that are didicated enough to make these fan DVD's they are essential, the guy even does an CD-ROM full of background info as well.

The Equalizer got cancelled at it peak with its best stories and highest ratings all because Universal put the price up to a million dollars an episode for Murder She Wrote so in revenge CBS cancelled The Equalizer and it caused absolutely uproar at the time in the US.

I think its the only series to win a Golden Globe for after the series was cancelled.

Its this information that you would never find out in the UK and you can only get it from dedicated fans.

I loved Stewart Copeland's (Police) theme tune!

Ordered and heat!

Worth it for the 80s theme tune alone!

Time to get out my favourite ever Equalizer quote again.

McCall to some 20st bloke built like a brick sh*t-house:

"I am the war you must avoid"

Classic.

I started watching this when I was 14 on ITV at 9pm, it was pretty violent and hard hitting for the mid 80's.

Ive just dug out the Fan DVD and my 44 DVD complete series ;-):whistling: to watch again over the coming months not watched them for couple of years now, stop the misses watching big brother when it comes on LOL, 88 episodes should last the 3 months.

The Fan DVD has "150!! Minutes of Interviews with clips from behind the scenes (see Edward show you round the Equalizers Flat) & contains Incredibly Rare!! and Never Ever Seen Before Footage!! from behind the scenes and interviews & features on the TV series The Equalizer featuring Edward Woodward, Robert Lansing & Keith Szarabajka, spanning the years 1985-1989 over all 4 seasons."

& the CD-ROM has "Nearly 400 Pages of background information about the series including Full episode guide and airing times, Series time line, Series Locations, people behind the scenes, Tributes, Cast & crew listsing, 40 Minutes of MP3 Interviews, 3000 pages of stories. 300+ pictures/wallpapers,etc., 64 Page Picture Book, 5 Page Comic Strip,WAV sound bites from the series, Mobile Phone ring tones". Ive checked and the Fan DVD & CD-ROM are still on Ebay.

Why cant the TV companies do all these for the box sets they release, especially the old ones.

This is a bargain for those wanting the official release though they have changed the background music in some episodes and replaced them with stock tunes due to copyright issue's.

Its the reason why they wont be releasing season 2/3/4 on DVD because of royalties & copyright issues with the music compossers because Stuart Copeland only did the music for Season 1 & 1/2 of Season 2 the 1/2 half of season 2 he only wrote the music he didnt perform it. Season 3 & 4 episodes were done by varies composers and thats the sticking point . So these is no chance of the other 3 series being released.

This really frustrates fans because of the total failure of the studios to realise fan base only profit's.

The Region 1 Box Set have music changes but I thought the Region 2 was all the original music intact and no changes?

Picked up the VHS boxset (a crummy "best of" mixture) last year, which I watched avidly and it was still surprising good (a bit dated, but still highly entertaining).

Well worth a punt for £6!
