Im from aberdeen originally.

Cant comment on the hotel specifically, however its a nice location, fairly central without being in the city centre. say a 20 min walk to Union Street where you will find the majority of the shops/bars/restaurants, or its on a main bus route that will get you in in 5-10 mins.

Not many people go specifically to Aberdeen for a break, but its not a bad place to start or end a tour of the Highlands, and would be a good location to visit Balmoral, Royal Deeside and the Whisky Trail. Aberdeen itself is fairly well-off so there is a decent amount of shopping and the city centre is entirely made from granite, so the city has a slightly diffrent feel to most cities.

Cheap bus fares are often available from Edinburgh/Glasgow on the megabus (www.megabus.co.uk) which used to be as low as £1 if booked in advance but now seem to be higher .

Take some warm clothes with you, the temperature only reaches 10c in the summer:p

Hot deal though

And Summer only lasts a week! :p

Hot deal, I used to live 30 miles from Aberdeen so a night out there and stay for £30's a bargain!
