They Gave In LOL

From "Old School" director Todd Phillips comes a comedy about a bachelor party gone very, very wrong. Two days before his wedding, Doug (Justin Bartha) drives to Las Vegas with his best buddies Phil and Stu (Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms) and his future brother-in-law Alan (Zach Galifianakis), for a blow-out bachelor party they vow they'll never forget. But when the three groomsmen wake up the next morning with pounding headaches, they can't remember a thing. Their luxury hotel suite is beyond trashed and the groom is nowhere to be found. With no clue about what happened and little time to spare, the trio must attempt to retrace their bad decisions from the night before in order to figure out where things went wrong, in the hope of finding Doug and getting him back to L.A. in time for his wedding. But the more they begin to uncover, the more they realize just how much trouble they're really in.

I watched this last night after buying it from Amazon for £5.

It's a funny film, but not as good as I'd heard / thought it would be.

Wish I'd waited for this deal and saved myself a few pennies via Quidco!

Good price.

4%, so probably only around 20p, but what's better £5 or £4.80?

Hold on, didn't Quidco used to be 8-10% for DVD's from Play?

same price instore at Sainsburys. Great film tho :)

One of the most unfunny 'comedies' i've seen in a long time. I remember myself saying 'ha' once. Most cringe worthy moment in film was 'Mr Chow'. Still respect to the actors who did their best with a truly awful script

Have you seen comedies like Anchorman, Old School and Superbad? Did you find any of those funny?

Good deal OP, heat added.

Loved hangover heat and rep added

Superbad and old school were also brilliant, I have yet to see anchorman is that in the same league as the prior-mentioned?

Superbad especially is better than Anchorman IMO. Steve Carell in Anchorman is hilarious, easily the funniest character, what an actor.

I love films like Old School, Superbad and Anchorman. "We're going streaking!".

Why are you asking me about those ones specifically?. Anchorman was quite funny at times, Old School very good, haven't seen Superbad.

Because they are similar types of comedy in my opinion thats why I asked. Anchorman is a classic Romario definately in the same league.

There's more to the comedy to these few films. The Hangover's success is just a result of good marketing sadly.

Have to agree, overly contrived and very poorly edited too. Poor VFM at *any* price.

The missus couldn't make it to the freebie screening I had for this. I ended up taking the father-in-law. He doesn't like comedies generally, but laughed his ass off at the Hangover.

People will be saying American Pie wasn't funny next.

If you think it's not funny, don't buy it. Simples.

H&R OP.

Marketing has the power to manipulate those in the cinema, people have seen the adverts, then they find themselves laughing uncontrollably due to the fact they the film is supposed to be the 'funniest thing iv'e see this year', then your girlfriend starts laughing and she doesn't know why. Then all of a sudden the whole cinema are wetting themselves, because if they don't then there is something wrong with them because the poster says 'funniest thing this year' and ' omg im still laughing'

Why would someone who thought it's not funny buy it?

Luckily I didn't buy it, I streamed it for nothing :)

Old School is excellent - Superbad is very funny indeed but Anchorman just sucked.....
