For some particular reason this film/s remind of when I ended up in Redruth once. Sort of by default... someone else's fault of course.

Lucky to get out alive.

I saw this in my branch last week too. I'm sure it had a10% off sticker on it too, everything else seemed to have! I didn't know if the films were any good so I didn't bother - anyone recommend them?

It's definatly a place. It's in Cornwall.
Apparently 'they don't like City folk' and I come from Plymouth!!!

Have you seen deliverance before? :p

Leaving Redruth out of the equation.

The first movie is by far a superior film to the second one. Its actually very good when compared to the original as well.

The 2nd has 'shameless name cash in' written all over it and is as bad as the original 2nd movie was.

If you like blood by the bucketful then you will like them but be warned there is a couple of rather unnecessary and disgusting scenes in the sequel. One of a woman giving birth to a monster which seems to come into the world causing maximum damage to the woman and an unpalatable rape scene as well so its not for the faint of heart.

Spot-on, 1st one is surprisingly good for a remake/'reimagining". It's been shown on Film4 a few times.
(also agreed with your comments on the 'Classic' horror boxset btw)
