An intense portrayal of elite soldiers who have one of the most dangerous jobs in the world: disarming bombs in the heat of combat. When a new sergeant, James, takes over a highly trained bomb disposal team amidst violent conflict, he surprises his two subordinates, Sanborn and Eldridge, by recklessly plunging them into a deadly game of urban combat. James behaves as if he's indifferent to death. As the men struggle to control their wild new leader, the city explodes into chaos, and James' true character reveals itself in a way that will change each man forever.

Brilliant film. Very edge of seat through out. I'd stick to watching Adam Sandler films and the like, bailey87.

Have you actually seen it?

How long do you think it'll be before this falls to £3? I've got quite stingey and £3 is as much as i'm willing to spend on DVD's now - eventually they all come down to this price.

Yes, terrible

Portrayed as some kind of realistic documentary - oh yes, I'm sure there are maverick nutters just breaking protocal every day and wandering in to disarm bombs like 007 - piffle.

Then I'm sure many in the US army go back to barracks and think to themselves 'ooh, what shall we do this evening? lets beat each other up for no good reason like complete meatheads'

Oh, and I thought the whole two minutes Guy Pierce was in the filn fully justified his name being emblazoned across all the promo material.

God it really was a terrible, dull, unrealistic film

There's not, hence the reaction from colleagues etc.. That's the point of the film, by the end you realise why he behaves like that.

& many do in the barracks actually. Arm wrestling, play fighting etc.. it's a male thing in a mass of testosterone.

That said, some films ain't for everyone. I thought it was fantastic personally.

I'd recommend this to any one who hasn't seen it... I don't know about realism or facts...but as far a movie goes - this was excellent! Very entertaining and gripping to watch.

I rented a film called the Dirt Locker thinking it was this. Turned out to be a very different film indeed.....

Having read the reviews i watched this and it was so disappointing...I sooo wanted to like this movie so bad but I just couldn't. Sorry but male testosterone or not, (spoiler) all we learn is that this dude is hell bent on adrenaline and what he loves more than his son and his wife (whom he 4gets sometimes he's married to) is the war...the film is an insult to real war films, so unrealistic. What is there to like about an unrealistic film filled with cliche's, bad characters and such a poor storyline. I would save my money and wait till it comes on the telly which will be probably soon

it was an ok movie, not great.
maybe they could have added more story to it than make us watch a guy defusing a bomb for half an hour.
