Not the best price ever but it's the cheapest price online for an awesome film..

Based on the personal wartime experiences of journalist Mark Boal (who adapted his experiences with a bomb squad into a fact-based, yet fictional story), director Kathryn Bigelow's Iraq War-set action thriller THE HURT LOCKER presents the conflict in the Middle East from the perspective of those who witnessed the fighting firsthand -- the soldiers. As an elite Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal team tactfully navigates the streets of present-day Iraq, they face the constant threat of death from incoming bombs and sharp-shooting snipers. In Baghdad, roadside bombs are a common danger. The Army is working to make the city a safer place for Americans and Iraqis, so when it comes to dismantling IEDs (improvised explosive devices) the Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) crew is always on their game. But protecting the public isn't easy when there's no margin of error, and every second spend dismantling a bomb is another second spent flirting with death. Now, as three fearless bomb technicians take on the most dangerous job in Baghdad, it's only a matter of time before one of them gets sent to 'the hurt locker'. Jeremy Renner, Guy Pearce, and Ralph Finnes star.

Very over rated film IMO. And maybe I'm just spoilt by being a visitor to this site but 9.95 for a DVD, even if its the cheapest currently available don't seem that hot to me. Leave it a few more weeks and it will probably drop.

Awesome film, but if you have Blu ray players then this is worth the purchase on Blu ray, rather than DVD!

I was gonna buy it on bluray, but went the nigel route instead... glad I did really.

The film is good, first half great, second half, as others, I struggled really to understand what was going on... then it just ended.

Not a bad film, but not one I'll watch again either.

I agree it's a very good film, would recommend HD rather than DVD version.

It's ok, even though the scenes with the sniper are stupid and unrealistic. Overrrated.

Possibly as I tend to like a story to my films even if it is completely over the top. I just didn't see any point to this film (Much like Jarhead. which is also seen from a soldiers perspective in Iraq)

Now I'm voting cold

7/10 decent film but its so pro yank its a joke and spoils it... the bit where they bump into some SAS who then get shot and panic is a joke. The Super yanks procede to pick up the SAS's sniper rifles and hit 4 Hadji;s from about a mile away, one on the move. GO USA. errr no
