Like I mentioned in the original post, download 4OD from the channel 4 website and you can check it out for free first! I'm not sure if season 1 is still on there, but you could find it in the archive just before season 2 started airing.

They've just started showing the first series again on E4 I think, could have been Channel 4, but it's definitely about.

no problemos

"Friend... Car Friend!"

Whilst I love this show, its only 6 episodes a season. At only 30 minutes an episode this is pretty poor value compared to other shows.

"You're going to die here Will!"

great show - especially the scene with the dead hand gang

#24

love film shop take bloody ages to ship stuff tho in my experience.

Funniest British comedy in a long while. If you haven't seen it yet then get it. Up to my nuts in guts.
#27
"I thought it was safe, sir! I thought it was safe!"

That bit in the season 2 finale had me crying with laughter.

Very funny series, but can we be careful about which quotes we use from the show - family forum, thanks

IMHO, no its not worth that price but thats the point, it appeals to a certain audience. I found it funny but its not unmissable and wouldn't pay to view something thats already been shown on TV. The humour is akin to a British 'American Pie', which it blatantly rips off (the blond haired lad is clearly "Stiffler").

I'd say watch the current series showing on C4 then decide...

This is the best advice, really. It's on E4 at 10pm on Thursdays, or probably on 4OD anytime. Watch one episode. If you find it funny you will find all of the episodes funny. If it doesn't appeal to you there will be nothing in the series to change your mind.

i got this for just £12.99 from play, but thats because of the £5 off £35 offer. i did order the Bret Hart book and Retro Arcade gadget for 10 quid each as well, but the £5 code comes off the most expensive item.

so yeah dont think anyone will beat that price for a while.
#32
I want this

brilliant show, very funny

"Friend... Car Friend!"

"Fake football friend"

This is quality in the last week I've watched both series free on 4OD.
#35
I bought it on DVD when it first got released I think it's one of the best shows on TV it's just a shame they made 6 episodes per series. It's worth the money.

To be fair, this is the classic structure for British comedy. Fawlty Towers, Blackadder etc all have six per season.
