Written by Graham Linehan (Father Ted, Black Books) and produced by Ash Atalla (The Office), The IT Crowd centres on the worlds of Roy, Moss and Jen who make up the IT department of Reynholm Industries. While their social betters work upstairs in fantastic surroundings, the IT dept. work in a horrible dark basement underneath it all...

The IT Crowd will strike a chord with everyone who dreads getting stuck in a corner with the IT boys at the office party or who's ever phoned their IT deptartment only to be asked "Have you tried turning it off and on again?"

Filmed on location and in front of a live studio audience, The IT Crowd is a surreal look at the underclass of a company.

Does it get better than episode 1? I watched that and found it about as funny as herpes.

Episode 1 of a comedy is rarely any good because it's all about establishing characters and setting the background.

As with any comedy though, so will find it funny and some wont, it just depends on your sense of humour. Personally, I think IT Crowd is one of the funniest shows for a long time, but if you don't then this deal probably isn't for you.

I am big fan of Curb Your Enthusiasm, enjoy Peep Show, etc.

Stick with it.
It's very, very funny! Matt Berry (Douglas) is an absolute legend!

If you like 'Man to Man with Dean Leaner' and 'Garth Marenghi's Darrkplace' you will love IT Crowd!

Give it some time.

Favourite episode is Work Outing:

Talking about GAY the musical as they stand at a bar.
Roy: Hum one of the songs!
Jen: "Willies, willies, I like willies..."
Roy: It's, "I love willies".
Jen: What?
Roy: "I LOVE willies".
Bartender: Sir... can you keep it down please?

Jen: No no no, if he was gay, why would he ask me out?
Moss: Well, don't take this the wrong way, but could he have thought you were a man?

From Wikkipedia:
Creator Linehan commented in early 2009 that he is optimistic about doing a fourth series.
Cast member Chris O'Dowd stated "Hopefully what's going to happen is we'll do a Christmas special this summer, and then another series later on,"
in an interview posted in May 2009.A fourth series of the show will arrive in 2010, with a Christmas special being shot over the Summer months of 2009.

Killer price for great dvd set, love this!
...definitely farourably comparable to father ted! the each I.T. crowd episode is as funny as the "chinese" episode of F/Ted ..which to me was the ultimate, has me gut laughing every time.

I've got a gun, I've got a gun.
