The IT Crowd Series 1-3 on iTunes £9.99

£9.99 @ iTunes
Great TV series. It's a couple of quid cheaper than the DVD box set that was posted here recently. Whilst many might prefer the DVDs, this is a good deal for those interested in a digital version. Read More

I watched the whole 1 - 3 series on SeeSaw in the past few weeks, plus it was free.

this is good if you want to pay i suppose?

I suppose if you like the show and want to see more episodes made you would do the right thing and buy the show, not watch it for free. So this is a decent deal. Plus, if you took advantage of the Argos itunes card deal this is technically £6.66.

Are you serious? Doing the right thing?

You better tell Channel 4 that. They made it available on 40D. Which in turn is now on SeeSaw which is compeltey legal.

The again, you must think Channel 4 get lot's of money from iTunes.

Ha!

Ah, I forgot about 40D. But i'm still pretty sure buying it through itunes makes sure the shows creator gets some cut. However small.

I've never downloaded anything from itunes before; what format and quality (bitrate/filesize) are these? Is there DRM on them or can I copy them to my PS3 easily?

Dunno about copying them; they tend to be copy-protected when downloaded from iTunes. There is ways round this; but I wouldn't know where to start.

Why the hell has this made it to the front page? This is not a "hot deal" as you can get it online for free and 100% legal. Plus, as others have said above, itunes nodoubt locks the files you buy, so you can't copy them to other media. No brainer really, why waste your money, especially in a recession.

The 4th series is being shown and a fifth has already been commisioned so I really don't think there's any harm in legally watching it for free on 4od.
#11
Is this DRM free?

Knowing Apple probably not.

COLD, even more so for a digital download.

All the old series are on 4OD and have been for ages.
#14
So it's free on 4OD, so what? It's still a deal for any fans that may want a digital version to watch on their iPad/iPhone/Touch while on the way to work on the bus or something.
#15
I wouldn't mind having it but I prefer to buy a series once it's all over and I can get a neat boxset/all the series on download or whatever.

Why the hell has this made it to the front page?...

I'm assuming because people are voting for it? Isn't that how this site works?
