This is the newly released Sept 08 edition, the next cheapest available is £140.

This great collection includes all 30 CARRY ON FILMS. Spanning 2 decades, the themes may shift and the movies change from black and white to colour, but the outrageous humour of the irrepressible CARRY ON cast is ever-present.

How many times can they keep repackaging the films and expect mugs to turn up and buy them?

(Well obviously many times because this is just the latest in a long line of reissues).

An RRP of £200 is just stupid. Some of these films are 50 odd years old. They haven't had any major restoration work nor has any other effort been put into creating a collectable edition. Just a repackage at an extortionate RRP to make it look like a bargain when sold by the likes of Amazon.

I'd say that there is little reason to buy this and unless you're desperate, wait until they actually put some time and effort into something worth buying.

What would you suggest big fans of the Carry On movies do assuming they NEVER do a restoration/SPECIAL edition boxset?

Well, if you're a "big fan" of the Carry Ons, you'll already have these in one of the many previous editions.

If you're not a big fan, please yourself but £60 is a lot of cash for something you may never watch in its entirety.

If they never do a restoration then it's contemptable but indicative of rights owners who just want to keep milking a cash cow.

Lol, don't even get me started on 'a lot of cash for something you may never watch in it's entirety' - every DVD collector i know never watches MOST of what they buy!!! :-D
