I heard the first trackwhile over in Orlando on Real Rock 101.1 this summer and thought it was actually quite good. I heard it again recently on XFM and was impressed.

A must buy from me!

They are certainly different to the original GnR, didn't like it at first but the more i listen the more i'm liking. They are on Youtube.

I listened to some of the songs from the Promotional album (different cover but same songs). Some of them were good, not brilliant and certainly not the GnR magic of old.

Some I didnt think werent good at all though. If this album is going to do well it will be on the name only then it will fall thru the charts like a lead balloon. Just my opinion though! Hope u enjoy it!

This album will either be genre-defining or a pile of cack! There'll be no inbetween on this one.

I'm hoping its the equivalent of Skid Row's "Slave to the Grind" in that it went in a new direction and gave a totally new sound and energy to the genre...showing my age now :whistling:

I used to feel this excited about each Faith No More release too!

Voted HOT

This will be going up to £7.99 at midnight tonight as they have a £1 off 24 hour sale on today.
It is still the cheapest I have found the CD and using the HKUD 50p off link or quidco you can get a bit more money off.

From what I have heard of the album I think it is excellent. At first I was a bit unsure but after a few plays the tracks have really grown on me, and there are 3 other tracks that haven't been leaked too.
When I heard the intro to the title track Chinese Democracy with the familiar Axl scream I instantly forgave him for the numeorous delays.

Can't wait to get my hands on the finished product as I've been waiting more than a decade for this.

100% agree mate - Skid Row's 'Slave To The Grind' is a fantastic album. If you liked that then Sebastian Bach's (ex skid row vocalist) new solo CD is well worth a listen, and a certain Mr Axl Rose provides backing vocals on 2 of the songs - have a listen on amazon US. I think Bach may also provide backing on one of the Chinese Democracy tracks too.

Ooh ooh ooh...the excitement is building - Axl & Sebastian Bach on one album! Attack of the c*ck rock old school

The only thing I've got against Skid Row is that my Skid Row t-shirt iwas the reason I met my wife many, many years ago :whistling:

6.99 to be disapointed hmmmm....

heard the album a few weeks ago and some of it is good but its not guns and roses and the end of the day just axl desperatly trying to hold onto the past imo and far too over produced for a gnr album

Ok so i finally need to post about this.

The album is ****ing awesome, ive just finished listening to the last few tracks, noone will be disapoointed. To anyone who think its not the real GNR or it cant work coz theres no Slash, go listen to the actual songs ;).

Its a lot more diverse than other guns albums. Lots of power ballads, some indrustrial, some just good plain rock songs.

If you just remember its 2008 and not 1991, and are looking for something really good and fresh, go get CD :D
