The Lord Of The Rings Online Compilation Pack: Volumes I & II - Shadows Of Angmar + Mines Of Moria.

Ok, expect a barrage of Wow vs the rest of the MMORPG world, but i thought this was a good price regardless.
Not played the game itself but it has some very favourable reviews across multiple sites.

30 days free as per normal with mmo's plus 2 free in-game items of your choice.

11.99 for additional timecards too which beats wow by £6-7 on average i believe.

Extra 5% discount for varsity card holders.

This is an excellent game, thoroughly immersive and after playing both WoW and this, this wins hands down, especially if, like me, you love the world that Tolkien created.

In all honesty, you play one MMO and you may as well have played them all, the game mechanics are so similar, so it is other facets of the game you look to and the lore and graphics of this one outshine all the others.

As you alluded to before, the WoW fans will be out in force given it a cold, sad really.

I bought this from play a couple of days ago as I am getting very bored of WoW and fancied a change.

£11.99 seemed like a very good price to me and I woould be interested to see if someone has found this cheaper elsewhere as I couldn't

Hot from me

I've tried a few and can't get into them - mainly the starting quests and combat just seem boring and it's not helped by the absence of players in the early stages. I'd be tempted to get the Moria expansion on its own to check that out but it seems it doesn't include the 30 free days, judging by the box.

Moria is an expansion that is meant for characters lvl46-60. Best thing to do imho if you find the game a little quiet in the starting zones (and they are) is join a Kinship, that way you at least can see others chatting away and you can get help more easily.
