The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (5 disc Collector's Box Set) - £9.97 delivered !

10% discount available on orders over £15 using code VALUEMUSIC. Same price @ ASDA too..

Description : This Collector's Box of The Two Towers contains the four-disc extended version of the movie (also available separately) as well as three unique additional extras. Like The Fellowship of the Ring before it, the whole is packaged in a chunky cardboard outer box. Inside is a limited edition polystone statue of Gollum, complete with fish, perched on a moss-covered base (it weighs in at a solid three-and-a-half pounds and comes with a certificate of authenticity). Unlike the "Argonath" bookends, the statue is purely decorative: sculpted by the same artist who created Gollum for the screen it's painted in faithfully "lifelike" colours and has an authentically oily sheen to its flesh that makes it a somewhat less-than-attractive ornament for your mantelpiece. Fans, though, will appreciate the attention to detail and the statue's unique pedigree.

Also included is a box within a box containing yet another bonus DVD, this one devoted to the creation of the Sideshow Weta statue series. Some 24 minutes long, this documentary is introduced by Peter Jackson, who shows us his own extraordinary collection of statues; Jackson and Weta supremo Richard Taylor explain how they insisted that these models were created by the same artists who had worked on the movies, ensuring complete authenticity (the actors themselves are suitably appreciative). Taylor narrates in detail the whole production process. There's also a printed 44-page companion piece specifically devoted to Gollum, showing his evolution from early sketches to sculpted maquette to final on-screen character.

Good price, voted hot.
Excellent price...not as good a price as the Return of the King set...but still worth getting. Have ordered from Asda and The Hut....just to be safe!!!

All I need to do now is wait for the Fellowship box to be put on special....
Thanks for the heads up, ordered this and found a padder to get teh 10% discount, then whcked through Quidco for another 7%. :)
This by far the best of the 3 movies.

I think the battle at Helms Deep is best scene I have ever seen in any movie.
Its also my favourite out of the 3, but many people seem to prefer the other 2.

Does anyone know if Fellowship of the Ring will eventually be released as a similar collectors box set (with statue)?
it already does- just with book-ends instead
Wont buy from then due to them not honoring the last LOTR box set they had for £3.97. Same will probably happen with this one.
"Due to popular demand we can't supply you with it Order Canceled"
ordered, now I just need the fellowship of the ring box edition, I got the Return of the king version for £3.99
worth it just for the statue

Quite a few of us lucky sods did manage to get it though for 3.97 (or less after quidco)....
This being the best of all the 3 films easily....Top Deal...

Mentioned elsewhere The battle for Helms Deep is awesome and blows every battle scene away in the other films....My Precioussssss.....
Thanks to the OP. I got my ROTK few weeks ago, and have had the first box set for a few years now. Just need this to complete the trilogy.
I would sooner never use the services of The Hut again myself.

I was one of the fortunate ones to have ordered ROTK from both The Hut and Asda Entertainment, and have them both despatched.

However, whilst one was fine, the other was incomplete, 5th disk missing, and the box was dog eared, also there were stickers with codes on the dvd boxset itself as if it was some ex-rental copy or something, clearly used.

I have already emailed The Hut twice on this issue (with no reply) and I am contemplating taking the issue up with local trading standards as clearly the item is NOT AS described, and reading other comments I am not the only one that has received used items from The Hut. Clearly if they are going to send out used items then the item description should be as such.

Voted cold, customer services dont respond, would not trust using their service. Bought from Amazon Marketplace for the same price, hopefully new from a more reputable seller.
The Lord of the Box-sets: The Five Discs (2 Towers Collector's Box Set).
If you buy all the box-sets you will have at least one Tower of Discs.

No offence intended, I just find it funny how many discs these sets contain. Simple things amuse simple minds. :)
Not a bad price, tempting ...
All Gone now
I guess they did at least have some of these in stock, as mine have been despatched to me today!
dispatched also.
Received mine today, all sealed just like my return of the king was.
Asda were excellent with ROTK, Hut were a joke mind.
Was just checking out newbie2linux's post on the Hut's 24hr '10% sale' & as I reckoned there'd be as many posts offering 'discounts' & advertiving 'sales' as Hot Deals on items (seems like The Hut is rarely the cheapest supplier) I thought I'd have a look through previous offers. This one is now listed as
"Availability: In-stock at the manufacturer - usually despatched within 4 working days. "
