Come with us now on a journey through time and space... to the world of The Mighty Boosh...

Written by and starring Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt, The Mighty Boosh is an off-the-wall adventure based on their Perrier Award-winning comedy show. This box set features both series 1 and 2 of their acclaimed televisual comedy show.

Mighty Boosh - Series 1: Howard and Vince, two workers in a run-down zoo, are often called upon to put their jobs before their pride. That means dressing up as animals and sitting in cages because their boss, American entrepreneur Bob Fossil, can barely afford any real animals (or even remember what species they are).

Vince - amazing hair in tow - accepts the situation happily, quite in contrast to his grandiose, tweed-wearing colleague, Howard Moon - who's either full of self-delusion or in a "jazz trance".

But, their jobs involve much more than just dressing up. From freeing mutant animals engineered in a secret laboratory underneath the zoo, to fighting a kangaroo to raise money for their dilapidated workplace, Howard and Vince always find themselves at the very centre of some very strange events indeed!

With some wonderful supporting characters such as Dixon Bainbridge - the upper-class bully-boy - and the spaced-out shaman, Naboo (forever thinking about that job at Dixons), The Mighty Boosh throws in animation, film references and musical numbers to create one of the best comedy shows of the last 10 years.

Episodes Comprise:

1. Killeroo
2. Mutants
3. Bollo
4. Tundra
5. Jungle
6. Charlie
7. Electro
8. Hitcher

The Mighty Boosh - Series 2: Vince Noir (Noel Fielding) and Howard Moon (Julian Barratt) return for another helping of The Mighty Boosh! Having left the relative comfort of the Zooniverse behind, this time the squabbling duo have formed a band with the - much needed - help of Bollo and Naboo.

There are plenty of new characters for the boys to get acquainted with, including the likes of: Old Gregg, a deranged merman who loves funk music; Kodiak Jack, the lusty trapper who has a thing for Vince; and Tony Harrison, the nigh on useless invertebrate shaman! Series 2 also marks the return of some old favourites in the form of Rudy, the Evil Cockney and Bob Fossil (in a brief but memorable appearance).

No adventure with the 'Boosh' is anything approaching normal! If you want villains made of old betamax tapes; relentless demonic grannies; blue zealots; and twisted puppet love on a ship-wrecked island, then you've come to the right place. Find out why everyone's talking about the Boosh and in the immortal words of Vince Noir "Get Involved!"

Episodes Comprise:

1. The Call of The Yeti
2. The Priest and The Beast
3. Nanageddon
4. Fountain of Youth
5. Old Gregg The Funky Merman
6. The Nightmare of Milky Joe

The Mighty Boosh - Series 3: Series three finds Howard and Vince still in Dalston, working in Naboo's second hand shop, which gives Howard the chance to try and sell his esoteric jazz record and Vince the opportunity to try on some new wigs!

Episodes Comprise:

1. Eels
2. Journey To The Centre Of The Punk
3. The Power Of The Crimp
4. The Strange Tale Of The crack Fox
5. Party
6. The Chokes

but if you had to compare it this is the closest you will get
alright iv you cant compare it to anything, give me a typical "line" or "joke" please :)

It's about average. Has some funny parts but the 1/3rd seasons are best avoided.

It's just your generic "look at me im trying to be alternative and quirky" BBC comedy, nothing you haven't seen before and nothing you wont see again.

Worth trying out for £13.99 tho

everyone goes on a bout this, but it looks a bit "false comedy" to me. If thats makes sense.

Yeah it does because they do try to hard to be funny at times. It has it's moments but it just depends on what type of comedies your into really

think ile pass

It's very left field. The jokes are not your conventional one liners and there is a lot of shock value involved at times.

I'm trying hard to compare it to something but I can't. I don't want to say a modern Monty Python (but I just did) but it's a good example when talking about its quirkiness and randomness. In terms of actual plot it comes nearer to the Young Ones.

Certainly don’t buy all 3 seasons if you haven’t seen any of it before.
Excellent. Thanks; I've been waiting for this to drop in price!
Hot.....ordered, Thanks:thumbsup:
