Next best price is £5.46 @ Amazon

Three-time Oscar®-nominee Frank Darabont (The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption) reunites with horror-master Stephen King to write and direct this chilling adaptation of the author's original short story, The Mist.

Following a violent thunderstorm, artist David Drayton and a small town community come under vicious attack from creatures prowling in a thick and unnatural mist. Local rumors point to an experiment called the 'The Arrowhead Project' conducted at a nearby top-secret military base, but questions as to the origins of the deadly vapor are secondary to the group's overall chances for survival.

Don't want to ruin it but a good film, as usual the book is better though.

But the ending of the film is better than the novella.
#4

It's different.

Wow, it's been all of 3 months since this was posted last time. Always divides the forum. I love the film. Didn't like the ending.
#7
One of the better films to be made from a Stephen King story, at this price this is quite a buy. Roll those dice and take a chance, bargain hunters.
#8
Like most of the Stephen King adaptations, the script was somewhat stilted, and it did look and feel a little like one of the many mini-series that have been rolled out from his novels (which isn't necessarily a bad thing as there have been some really good ones!) I won't go into the ending too much as it definitely seems to be a love or hate thing, but I saw it coming and felt it was something of a facepalm moment.

Having said all that, the effects were decent, the story was good and I did enjoy it when I watched it a while back.

Have ordered a copy for myself at this price so heat & rep added for OP

I enjoyed watching this film, then end was, well, you have to watch it..

I want to see a film version of Stephen King's Geralds game
#10
Seen this on Sky now 3 times, and ending still shocks. Will certainly go for the DVD for the extras. Cheers!!
#11
Dont watch this film if you're feeling a bit down, it might tip you over the edge.
#12
Only seen this once on Sky couple of months ago by accident.

As mentioned, the ending is quite harrowing. :-(

No, seriously, good film, great end (havent read the book but I can imagine its better as with most) but I did feel it was a bit samey during the middle.

Rather catch it on TV though, not much reapeat viewing even at £2.99

lol, nice of you to give the ending away, now people really might as well save their cash:)

I try my best , glad to be of help and to save you folks some money

The ending had me in stitches :w00t:
#22
Worst ending to a film I have ever seen.
#23
I liked it. The ending didn't really bother me tbh.
#24
Pretty decent film imo, probably not worth buying though, defo worth watching whenever you can, but now the ending has been spoilt, the movie has been spoilt
#25
In some parts the movie fails badly and loses credibility but in others it gains it back admirably. Its up and down continuously like this so requires a lot of the viewer to stick with it. Enjoy it for what it is and you will get the most out of it.. Its not the greatest horror film ever but considering how bad the genre has gotten its certainly one of the better of its kind of the last 20 years and at this price and with the extras is very well worth purchasing. Just ordered one myself and Heat and rep added...
#26
One of the best films of that year, great edition and price. Heat added :)

Why is the sfx of the tentacled monster (this spoiler is minor compared to the others :p) so bad, worse than tv sci-fi?

This almost made me stop watching as it was so embarrassing and a dire indicator of things to come

Glad i stuck with it as the rest of the sfx were excellent and the film was entertaining
#28
Can we please request a mod delete the post giving the ending of this film away, whether you liked it, predicted it or whatever, its one of the most talked about 'endings' in a film and is extremely thoughtless to give it away, not even a warning!
#29
Is there any way to reduce someone's reputation? A user called Andy just revealed the end of this film, bit of a spiteful thing to do!
#30
It wasn't just thoughtless it was totally deliberate.

Should be a way to reduce someone's reputation, and if you find out let me know, so we can teach them a lesson.

it just means from now on I don't drop into any thread where I haven't watched the movie and i suggest others don't either. Bad for the community.

Be careful with your language or its you who will end up with a warning dude , its not kewl to swear...funny how you call me childish but then go on to make childish remarks yourself

Its a film , not life or death

Edit : Edited my post with the spoiler
#32
other ending on you tube, good film, one of the better stephen king adaptions
#33
You behave like one then don't be surprised if you get called one.

Mods should have removed your deliberately spiteful posts not spent time correcting the language in mine. I think I said what most people thought.

boabbyrab, cheers think I'll watch the alternative ending on youtube after I've watched the film. Ordered the movie today from play, hoping that they might have the different ending on the 2nd disc perhaps.

no problem but as it seems to be the 2 disc version i believe it will have it and also the b&w version which according to empire magazine reveiw a few years back is even better
