Ernie invites Terry Wogan round to the flat to persuade him to make a pop record with Eric and himself. Success is guaranteed because Terry can play the record every morning on his radio programme. Terry reluctantly agrees to sing the song, which Ernie describes as really with it, although it doesnt turn out like that...

From the comparative calm of playing a bank managers wife, lovely Hannah Gordon is pitchforked into the chaos created by Eric and Ernie. After all, she did not really expect to sing a song with them. Later, Ernie discovers that a fellow writer is living in the same block of flats. Hugh Paddick plays the eccentric poet, and when he enters the flat his high-flown language and artistic clothes leave him wide open to Erics gags.

Ernie decides that Eric is getting far too cheeky, so he phones Rent-a-Giant and hires a rather big chap called Cosmo to help with the discipline. Later Ernie takes his partner to a Chinese restaurant; its all very difficult, because the tall one with the glasses much prefers sausage, egg and chips.
