Instead of comments tell us why? That is what the forum is for. If there is something you know state it instead of trying to push your post tally higher.

1p over priced. You can buy the £10 voucher
If you got it delivered by Tesco add another £4.85, Like for like we don`t have a hughes or Tesco`s near us.

What are the benefits of a high tally of posts? is there a prize? If not why worry about it?

Is the phone locked to the orange network, if so does anyone know how to unlock for free?
#11
if the phones are locked to Orange there is no easy was to unlock them.
The best way is with an unlocking clip which cost about £35!
There's no online solution.

CarphoneWarehouse buy for 4.95 but must purchase £10 virgin top up and free delivery
then get £5 quidco
total = £10 with £10 credit
NET COST = FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
virgin are good for unlocking phones on request "usually".

You should post this for the reasons the OP stated. More constructive posts like yours can only make the site better.

(post count plus one_)

Sorry but I don`t worry about it. The OP put forward a deal if it can be bettered thats fine it helps all but to many newbies are criticizing for the sake of a post count.

Honestly this phone is terrible, if all you want is to have an emergency phone in the glovebox fine, but if you're considering it as a daily use phone DON'T! (in my humble opinion of course!)
#15
got this for the olds at xmas net cost was £2.50 - nice big letters and numbers and next to no fuctions only alarm, contacts, text and phone.

A very basic and flimsy phone but its got good battery life and it works - ps these are almost always unlocked
#16
except when Orange sell them...........
#17
you can pretty much guarantee that it will be locked to orange.
#18
is this available in store as well ?
#19
Has any one tried the phone, is it locked to orange or not?
#20
£12 cash for unlocked version at Cex!

I did a quick search on ebay and it can be unlocked for $10 US...just send them IMEI

Great phone, simple, very long battery life, high visibility liquid paper display, very loud speaker, tough, makes calls and sends texts that's all.

I've owned one for months and having owned endless gadgets, phones, laptops and the like I really like this product, it does not pretend to be anything but a phone and by doing so it does it very well.

A bargain at this price.

I'd be a bit suss myself make sure they can unlock a phone locked to Orange UK. If it does work though then go for it!

I got one of those from carphone warehoure
for free but I had to buy 10 pounds virgin top up...

I am sure some here recall this deal. However, it is not there anymore.

Thing is the phone from carphone warehouse was unlocked..! I tried it with virgin and o2 and they worked fine...

It is a good for for calls but if you want to msg via sms, dont by this.. its a nightmare to read a single mesage and the "#" key shows as "H" lol ...

Anyways thanks OP

I dont know if anyone realises but these phones are disposable, yes there are many phones in circulation in many countries that are disposable especially 3rd world countries. They last about 6 months or maybe a bit more, many people usually dont mind since they are so cheap. These ones come unlocked as standard and are made in india. So yes they are way too expensive. I would say £5 is a reasonable price for them. They cant cost more than £1 to make, or even less.

just noticed that you can get a v3 on tesco mobile with £20 of credit for £39.97. £6 quidco too
