For a unique twist on a holiday favorite don't miss "The Muppet Christmas Carol." Michael Caine stars as Ebenezer Scrooge - alongside all your Muppet favorites - in this version of the classic Dickens' tale about a stingy old man who learns to change his ways one lonely Christmas Eve. Kermit the Frog plays lowly Scrooge employee Bob Cratchit while Miss Piggy plays Bob's feisty wife, Emily. Tune in for Christmas cheer only the Muppets can bring!

I don't want it if they have cut the XXX rated Miss Piggy scenes

The first DVD release in 2002 was a full-screen only affair (region 1). The film was re-released on DVD in 2005 in conjunction with Kermit the Frog's 50th anniversary celebration; this time the DVD contained both full-screen and wide-screen presentations. The film was also released in Region 2. The song "When Love Is Gone" was removed from the DVD release, despite having featured on the VHS release. Henson felt it made the film too melodramatic.

The blurb on the IMDB mentions that the musical sequence "The Love is Gone" is missing from the UK DVD versions of the film.

Shame really coz despite Michael Caine's singing, I always found it to be quite moving.

Yeah its the anniversary edition (just double checked). I bought it yesterday along with a few £3 xmas DVDs ... this and Father Christmas (R Briggs) were the only ones that were £4 and not £3 though.

and your point is?

I know the R1 with the missing scene is 4:3.
My post was in response to the comment,

"the only way for a fully uncut version is on the video ".

Thats why I quoted it...............

because someone who then went and bought that version to get the scene might not know it was 4:3 numb nuts
