This is the season for love, laughter, and one of the most cherished stories of all time! Join Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and all the hilarious Muppets in this merry, magical version of Charles Dickens' classic tale. Academy Award winner Michael Caine gives a performance that's anything but "Bah humbug" as greedy, penny-pinching Ebeneezer Scrooge. One fateful Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future. Together with kind, humble Bob Cratchit (Kermit the Frog) and his family, the Spirits open Scrooge's eyes - and his heart - to the true meaning of Christmas.

Filled with original music and dazzling special effects, this fully restored and remastered MUPPETS 50th Anniversary Edition of THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL will become a Christmas tradition your family will treasure all the days of the year.

I got this a few years ago but was disappointed that its cut compared to the video I had even longer ago. Its missing the duet between Michael Cane and his fiancee which is very odd (plus it means that later references to it don't make sense).

Still awesome film tho.

Yeah Disney or whoever didn't like Caine's singing so when they redited for the widescreen version they butchered it so you get 4:3 version full length or the widescreen one sans that scene (which is critical to the story, it's where you see Scrooge really break and change without that scene he's remorseful but not broken that scene seeing where his life went wrong finally breaks the man and changes him without that scene the final outcome doesn't make a lot of sense tbh.

Anyone know whether they've put the scene back in on this version would buy it if so

From Wikipedia
"When Love is Gone"

"When Love is Gone" was cut out of the original 1992 theatrical release as producers thought it would slow the film down a bit, but put it back in for the video release and TV airings. This song was once again cut from the 10th Anniversary Edition of the film released on DVD (widescreen only, the fullscreen version has the song). Two other songs were written but cut from the film; "Room in Your Heart", performed by Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker, and "Chairman of the Board", performed by Sam the Eagle. These songs were recorded, but cut from the script before filming began. Both songs appear on the motion picture soundtrack released by Jim Henson Records.

You can however watch it on youtube, so seems if you buy widescreen it's not in but is on normal :(

Life is full of sweet surprises, every day's a gift.
The sun comes up and I can feel it, lift my spirit
Fills me up with laughter
Fills me up with song
I look into the eyes of love, and know that I belong

Or something =p
