When young Bastian borrows a mysterious, ornately-bound book, he never dreamed turning a page would draw him into a shimmering fantasy world of racing snails, hang-glider bats, soaring luckdragons, puckish elves, a Childlike Empress, the brave warrior Atreyu and a slab-faced walking quarry called a Rock Biter.

Follow The Neverending Story to the limits of the imagination, thanks to director/co-writer Wolfgang Petersen (The Perfect Storm) and a superstar team of technical tinkerers and magicians (with credits including 2001: A Space Odyssey, Alien and The Empire Strikes Back) who bring to life the most delightful characters ever. You'll cherish this wide-eyed adventure and discover The Neverending Story is your story.

Atrocious film... as a kid I just hated it. Back in the 80's some of the best and worst fantasy films were made.

Go for Willow or Ladyhawke instead of this.

Ok this is my first post - so as everyone else says "go easy on me"!

But i thought that hotukdeals was a forum about deals? As far as I can see, but maybe I'm wrong, this is the cheapest that you can get this DVD. TheHut.com also sell it for this price (maybe same group?).

Or dos a deal only go hot if the majority of people like the item and its the cheapest?

It was on the TV the other day.
I must say I quite enjoyed it, the special effects are a touch poor though by todays standards.

watched this at xmas for nostalgia reasons, was boring as hell and lame

As said, this was on last weeked. Neverending story 2 was also on later in the day.

I think it's a good film to watch. I ordered this though for a little present at the beginning of December. I received confirmation of despatch yesterday, despite it stating it was in stock at the time of order.

I loved this film as a kid and still got shivers when it was on TV the other day. I couldn't get the music out of my head all day. I was wondering when I was watching it, why haven't I got this film on DVD yet?

Also love Labyrinth. Which I do have.

Are people watchigng the same film, this film is fantastic?

And also (for kids) terrifying, that wolf is probably one of the scariest kid film villians in history, but the thing that used to really scare the bejesus out of me was those two statues with the eyes that open when you walk through and you're dead.

For those that love the film I would highly recommend getting the Dutch Blu-ray, its a bit expensive to import but well worth it. You can find it on ebay usually.

*Note the sequels are rubbish though*

How does it end?

I'm laughing and weeping at the same time. They should have put that on the extras.

How does it end?

It doesn't that is why there are two sequels.

The book rewrites itself over and over.
