If you are near a Go Outdoors shop then you could possibly get it for £67.50 as they will price match less 10%.

If you want a choice of colours, Alpkit down jackets are £75 including delivery at http://www.alpkit.com/shop/cart.php?target=category&category_id=270

I've had one of them for several years and it has been great. Alpkit are a really good company to buy from - excellent products, service and prices. Their washing instructions are well worth reading http://media.alpkit.com/support/manuals/filo.pdf

I have the jacket - and its a 700 fill.

The 700+ down fill comes from a small number of birds kept for breeding purposes throughout the year. These geese molt naturally in the spring. While their down is loose it is collected by hand. It is very rare and, of course, expensive. The larger individual plumules are what gives the greater loft. The only way to get down of this quality is by careful hand selection which is the major factor in its scarcity.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fill_power

Its a very good jacket - although I think its a little weird having a logo on the rear shoulder too.

It is a massively warm jacket also - and you will sweat like a pig if you try anying more than unladen strolling for any time at temperatures above freezing. Down is also not great if it gets soaked - although thats extremely unlikely when its sub zero.

The zip matches Berghaus if you want to zip it inside a Gore-tex shell - however, being american - the zip[er is at the wrong side - so it needs to be turned outside-in to have a zipper for each side to attach. This also means the loops for attaching to the button inside the sleeve will now be against your arm at the inside - so cannot be attached to the outer sleeve. It works pretty well all the same - and stops being a problem if you remember to hoid the inner and outer sleeve at the same time as you take it off. One benefit is you get an extra two internal pockets - that in normal set ups would be concealed.

Got one! Had it for about a year.

Great jacket. Very warm.

I'm not a jumper wearer as I get too hot when indoors so its great to be able to wear shirtsleeves / tshirt and just pop this on when going out into the Arctic conditions we`ve been having up in the North East of Scotland & still keep toasty warm.

#24
I have one of these. Awesome jackets, will keep you warm in snowy sub zero conditions.

HOT from me.
#25
As worn by many BBC outside broadcasters?
#26
No offence but why are you so EXCITED about North Face brand?
Is it because it is American and you have seen it in american movies?
Speaking for my self when i buy winter equipement i always go for brands which
come from countries (Norway, Sweeden, Finland, Austria, Switzerland)known for QUALITY products, where snow and cold has been since Ice Age.

Yes they do have snow in America but i think that North Face is just brand, not high quality brand.

Totally agree with the above post!

..it is a good price though I personally would go with the Alpkit, or a rab, ..that sort of level for longevity & quality of service, Northface is now a high volume high street & catalogue brand, standards have slipped. (kinda pleasing shareholders but less attention to it's original core buyers).

15% off code does not work. had to use the 10% off :(

I bought one from this offer and sold it recently on ebay for £100
