I have posted a previous North Face Nuptse deal here, but think that this will take some beating - even if you love them or loathe them!

ASOS has reduced the majority of their North Face Mens Outerwear range and there are some excellent deals, including the highly respected Nuptse jackets (from £87) and vests (from £59); a range of colours are available at various prices. They also have the North Face Polar Nuptse jacket which is a special edition of the Nuptse jacket with reinforced material around the shoulder area. The Polar Nuptse has limited availability at other online dealers and the ASOS price is extremely competitive - I thought that the Cotswold Outdoor sale price in December 2008 of £99 was excellent, but at ASOS they are £90.95.

There are also discounts on other North Face jackets, but I have not checked all prices against other retailers, but a quick search on some items and they seem very competitive. There doesn't appear to be any general ASOS codes around at the moment to lower the price or get free delivery.

Nice coats, pity they dont have any in xxl...

Suprised at the temperature, i would have thought the "but you can get coats in primark for £5" brigade would have sprung into action by now. Must be the goose down lining keeping it hot

P.S. Love the avatah-ha Hertz
#5
wow - mega cheap. Quality.

As a photographer I love north face keeps me warm and is really tough material, I've got a North face rucksack for some of my len's and its had its fair share of knocks and tumbles! and it still going strong after 10 years..

the jackets are perfect with all the outside pockets for memory cards and some are deep enough to keep a small lens in for a quick change!

Brilliant find! HOT for me!

A lot of these are made in Guangzhou...I picked up a bionic soft shell jacket over there in November for £10 and a similar "3 in 1" down-lined for about £35, bartering and knowing they were still making a profit even at our poor exchange rate of 10Yuan to £1.
Reduced to £59 and £144 here....it's a good price compared to what the British were prepared to pay before....but surely these prices are going to be the norm from now on....and Primark will soon be down to a quid

i'm not an idiot, as worn mostly by chav's.

And generally the weapon of non-standard issue choice by the British Military, photographers, outdoor leaders, etc, etc, etc.............very chav maybe, but highly respected! In short, a brilliant bit of kit and the cheapest current price...crack on lofty

North Face is my favourite brand for jackets and I'm pretty sure I'm not a chav at all.

Can Chav's even afford North Face. :P

Anyway voted HOT authough the parka I want is out of stock :(

What's sad is they probably can afford North Face. The kids can go hungry as long as the trainers are shiney and the clothes are name brands....the gov't will feed the kids!

Ask Louis Vuitton and Burberry what 'chavs' have done for their revenues
#12
Very true.

Although Burberry's name is now soiled forever. It used to be a brand for middle aged ladies.

Back on topic: North Face's pieces are really well made and will last for years and years.

Didn't Burberry close a factory in Jan 09 due to falling demand?

Thats actually rubbish, do you have any idea how much Burberry clothing and LV bags etc cost, you are confusing cheap outdoor market/ebay copies with the real thing.

Sure your Jades and your Micky Carrols may have been able to afford the real thing but not your real so called 'Chavs' who hang round shopping precints.

I have been waiting for this deal for so long. now i can stop visiting the Nevi sport store everytime i pass it and just touching the Nuptse only is a thing of the past :p

The North Face 3 In 1 Exterior & Down Interior Parka &
The North Face Evolution Triclimate 3-In-1 Jacket

apart from the price.
#19
Voted HOT! and ordered as I've been looking for a well priced Nuptse for weeks!

Your comments are clearly a reflection on the company you keep and the area you live in. This gear is excellent with a 'substance before style' ethos.
#22
NF was an outdoors specialist, now it's a major global high street brand. Montbell, Golite, Western Mountaineering etc. have taken over it's large shares as mid-level quality outdoors specialist as it's specs fell while it mushroomed. The best stuff is, as ever, from a few small vendors: http://www.featheredfriends.com/Picasso/Garments/Garments.html or the French http://www.valandre.com/us/frontpage.htm or the Brit http://www.phdesigns.co.uk/ but for popping down the pub or the corner shop, as opposed to expeditions, NF will do.
#23
Not for Chavs but NF has crossed over into being a fashion brand instead of just for outdoor wear. If you want to stand out from the crowd then buy stuff without labels on!

i had a new window open with these words waiting to be said but you beat me to it haha.

ScallyGally, you are a moron. You must live in a deprived area where the scumbags roam freely. Yes i see the odd ned wearing NF but it doesnt make it a ned brand. I thought that was reserved for berghaus and aquascutum. NF isnt loud enough for the neds of today (it doesnt match their trainers or tracky b's)
#25

as worn by chavs!

Its too expensive for Chavs, JJB Sports is usually their place of worship. You must live in a rich area if all the Chavs are wearing this kind of clobber.

Going back to the deal, very good prices on here. Been looking for a nice coat for when I do my photography to keep me warm. Voted hot !

Not particularly...they're from the same factory.
Just like Nike in Thailand they're not supposed to be sold locally at local prices due to the export contract and Nike wanting to keep the price artificially high for Westerners......but you know they ship them out to the local market all the same....all they have to do is "class" them as seconds.
All about commerce and nothing to do with quality.

You are right, all manner of low life drug dealing spitting scum chave wear North Face, sad I wouldnt like to wear North Face now. Talk about totally destroying a brand image. Though I hear this is only in the North and particulary North West.

Its ok they tend not to wear the bubble dow filled jackets, but the thinner jackets and in black.

D.

i have one of these and i wear it to work as a wind breaker for when im walking/cycling. does this make me a chav?

Is that what they told you? You'll also find factory outlets in China and HK selling 'seconds' but not at the prices you mentioned. The actual markets sell fakes and that's what you bought. It's like saying the LV bags at the markets are seconds  I know this as I've lived there.
#29
North face is clearly not a CHAV label, there maybe the ODD TV celeb wearing these but the majority is professional wear.

As someone mentioned before photographers etc wear these, Im an outdoor photographer football games an all and we wear this gear simply because its tough, reliable and dependable and the other sad reason is the amount of pockets for Memory cards, spare lens etc...

I think its also a TAD better quality than Primark (before the brigade starts!)

but so what if some youths wear it!, is it such a big deal? its not like the jackets have become readily available at JD or other sports stores, I visit the north face store in Mcr and never knew ASOS sold this gear! and if a kid wants to spend £200 on a jacket then go for it...

Do I sense a bit of jealousy?

Its good quality technical gear for all weather types! enjoy it, but dont mock it till you have tried it.

but on the burberry side of things, yes they did close a factory but that was on the homeware side, and its pretty funny about the story of Burberry being tarnished, burberry have history for this, My gran showed me some of her old burberry stuff but she was telling me that back in the 50's this stuff was getting copied everywhere, so she just never bothered wearing it again....

what goes around comes around i suppose.

The Chav Face ! :p

Really they need to take action before total brand destruction, I have a Gillette thats still in excellent condition with a hood from 10 years ago. Do you think if I wear it people will ask to buy drugs from me ?

I'm considering buying the 'The North Face Versatile Technical Jacket' for £101, has anyone got one of these jackets ? I'm struggling to find more detail/reviews on the internet for it, looking for a jacket for all year wear in the UK, the 3in1 jackets appear too much complication for me, i don't plan to go skiing or maountain climbing ! more walking in the countryside and general wear.
#34
You do see a lot of the wrong sort of people wearing North Face.
It is very noticeable because you would not expect them to wear a traditional proper outdoor brand.

Support Dangerous Dogs ! It is one of the few things that culls chavs, without Dangerous Dogs we will become over run.

I've been looking for a good quality jacket for the same uses myself, and narrowed the search down to TNF as I bought my wife one and was impressed with the quality.
Don't be put off by the 3-in-1 jackets, as you get a lot of jacket for your money with these and the various combinations cover most things the UK weather can throw at you.
I've tried loads of TNF jackets at various retailers and have to say the Triclimate Down Parka is my favourite and with ASOS selling it for £144 is by far the best vfm deal I've seen on these anywhere, as most big sellers still sell these for £240, with limited sizes/colours, etc..
So thanks to the OP - voted HOT by me and I've just put my money where my mouth is and ordered the green 3-in-1 down parka, which btw looks much better in the 'flesh' than their screen shots...:-D

P.S. Who cares if chavs like TNF gear (they're probably Ebay fakes anyway..lol), as I'm sure most people buy them for their quality and it's sad there are some who are put off purely by the 'chav factor'.

Normally, I think otherwise of OPs that post on the hotness of their own deals, however, I thought that this deal was worth postinging and I'm extremely happy that I've been able to highlight a range of normally highly priced clothing that has assisted a few hotukdealers to get an item for the best price; the threads above say it all.

Forgetting the posters that think that this brand of clothing is Chav (which is why I posted in the original thread 'Love it or loathe it' and I note that some comments have been removed by the Mods), I hope everyone who purchased an item is happy with their goods at the reduced price they paid - mine has already been dispatched. Enjoy them, from previous experience I know I will!

Thanks for the advice, I've ordered the ''North Face Versatile Technical Jacket'', ASOS seem pretty good on the returns policy if its not what I want, hopefully they will have enough stock to fill these orders. rep added.
