Amazing price for one of the best American comedies in many years! Even better than the original!
#2
Yeah love it, have to admit the first series is a slow burner and a copy of the UK version but season 2 and 3... brilliant.

Shall pick this up on my way to work. Cheers

I'm currently watching this box set, borrowed it from DD's BF and I have to say I love it, don't know if it's better than the UK one but it is brilliant!

Will drop a hint to DH, he's off to get my presents in a bit........typical man, leaving Christmas shopping till the last minute!!

A|lready snagged all these online, fantastic series.

Favourite scene was when Dwight was getting faxes from his future self. I still chuckle thinking about that.

Agree that its better than the UK version. Also if you like this you should check out Parks and Recreation which has some of the same team that worked on the US office and in its second season now is as funny as the office.

could not get into this at all. as much as i like steve carrell i thought this was the worst thing he has been involved in. the original office is so much better!. voted hot purely for the price.

its not all 3 series for £10 is it?
is it £10 for one series?

Asda Online is showing £16 for the series 1-3 boxset pictured above. Individual series boxsets are priced from £4.93 to £10.93

It's cheaper at Play.com, only £14.99 for the three series boxset.

Go on, give it another try! You're missing out on some great character development, ongoing storylines and fantastic set piece comedy moments. :santa:

So agree with you about this episode, can laugh about it without even watching it! Why didn't I think of doing that when I was working :whistling:

Have got this boxset and love it, this is a fantastic price for brilliant comedy! :santa:

Great price - Brilliant series.

IMHO much better than the UK version.
Series 2 and 3 are excellent.
#16
1 episode left on Season 6, what a superb show this is, side splitting all the way though.
#17
Damn, thought I'd got a bargain a couple of weeks ago when I bought this for boyfriends Christmas from Play for £13! This is even better!

Was in my local Asda yesterday and they had season 1 alone for £10. HMV try to sell all 3 seasons for £45 in-store!!

One of the best shows available today, fact.

First 2 or 3 episodes in series 1 are fairly unenjoyable purely as they are attempting to copy the UK version. Carell is even a bit irritating trying to emulate Gervais' Brent. However, as early as the 4th episode (The Alliance, I think) the show has it's own indentity and is brilliant.

Much more of a story than the UK version, there is more involvement as the characters are developed much further. Over 100 episodes in and it's still as funny as at the start.

Carell, Rainn Wilson and Ed Helms are absofruitly hilarious.

An absolute must to watch.

Would recommend it to anyone, young or old, male or female.

For as a little as a tenner, you can't get better.

Wow, stunning! Shame I've already got 'em!
#20
wow great price love it

I was never a big fan of the UK office; I can't stomach Gervais. However, I'm a big fan of this version. As people have said above, from season 2 onwards, as it starts to move away from the British blue-print and become something in its own right, it gets better an better.

You dare question the power of the Dwight/Jim combo? :x

Jim: Question. What kind of bear is best?
Dwight: That's a ridiculous question.
Jim: False. Black bear.
Dwight: That's debatable. There are basically two schools of thought--
Jim: Fact. Bears eat beets. Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica.
Dwight: Bears do not... What is going on?! What are you doing?!

Jim: Sometimes I send Dwight faxes from himself in the future.
Dwight: [reading fax] Dear Dwight, At 8:00 someone will poison the coffee. Do not drink the coffee! More instructions will follow. Cordially, Future Dwight
Dwight: [sees Stanley about to drink the coffee and sprints across the office, knocking the cup out of Stanley's hand]
Dwight: NO!
[after knocking the cup to the floor]
Dwight: You'll thank me later.

Jim: After you sir.
Dwight: No thank you, I never let anyone walk behind me. Seven out of ten attacks are from the rear.
Jim: Ok, well, that still leaves a 30% chance that I will attack you from the front.
Dwight: Uh, yeah, but it will be easier to stop. I can always block the blow. I can counter it with... [Jim slaps Dwight]

The combo has been defended. :p

Great deal, and a brilliant show (agreed better than the original, Michael and Dwight are immense)..... but I was in ASDA Pudsey last night, and there isn't a chance in hell I will go back in there before christmas !!
#25
Great price, but is it a local mis-price? I have been to two of my local Asdas and they both had series one at £10 but no sight of the series 1-3 boxset.

Has anyone else found the series 1-3 boxset at £10?
#26
Guys, when I found it was not amongst the other DVDs in the entertainment section. It was in a seperate section of special offer DVDs, books and CDs in the pudsey branch near the enterance.

As is only proper, such quality deserves to be well away from the Holloaks and that Taggart boxed set.
