Petty behaviour. Zero productivity. All in a day's work.

Ricky Gervais' critically acclaimed and multi-award winning The Office is taken across the pond. This unique comedy series offers a smart, tongue-in-cheek documentary-style look at the humorous, and sometimes poignant, banality of the 9-to-5 white-collar work world.

Golden Globe winner Steve Carell (The 40-Year Old Virgin) stars as unctuous regional manager Michael Scott who hosts the documentary crew on a tour of the workplace. Jenna Fischer (Walk Hard), John Krasinski (Jarhead, Kinsey), Rainn Wilson (Six Feet Under), and B.J. Novak (Punk'd) star as the employees who tolerate Michael's inappropriate behavior only because he signs their paychecks.

Quality tv show - I realy like it!

Very underated. A lot of people like to say it doesn't compare to the English version but I think it's brilliant.

Wouldn't buy either though since they're always on the telly mind.

was gunna order but site down for maintenance :-(

Series 2-3 is probably when the show peaks. I'd hold out and wait until the boxset of the complete series comes out. Great series though, lots of comedy.

Excellent series - good characters (escpecially Dwight) and good writing. I enjoyed it just as much as the UK version.
Heat + rep!

That's what she said.

^ Classic.

Infinately superior to the British version, primarily because Steve Carell is a million times funnier than Gervais...though it is a stretch to call Gervais funny in the first place.

This is awesome!

I think it got better with each new series. Series 5 was brilliant - Dwight's "fire" incident was the best.

The reason why, in addition to Steve Carrol being funnier, that the american office is better is that at least Michael Scott is a believable person. Yes, he has no friends, needs to be centre of attention and is a bad boss. BUT he IS a great salesman too - it's beautiful to see the man in action.

David Brent, was just crap at everything he did. The show doesn't work becuase someone THAT incompetent could never stay a manager for long. (Hence UK = 2 series, USA = 5 (6th being filmed!!)

Season 1 is very, very bad. Season 2+ is where the show really came into it's own. Rather than just being an imitation of the UK version. Worth it for season 2-3 definitely.
