Sandra Bullock is at her funniest in the fresh, laugh-out loud romantic comedy The Proposal. On the verge of being deported and losing the high-powered job she lives for, the controlling Margaret announces she's engaged to her unsuspecting, put-upon assistant Andrew (Ryan Reynolds). After proposing a few demands of his own, the mismatched couple heads to Alaska, where they have four short days to convince his quirky family and a very skeptical immigration agent that their charade is real. Featuring a star-studded supporting cast, including Mary Steenburgen, Craig T. Nelson and the delightfully inappropriate Betty White, this madcap comedy will have you saying "yes" to The Proposal again and again.

this was the most boring , shitest most dire film i have seen in a long time ( excuse my french ) it was so bad i turned it off with about 20 minutes of the film left , id only watched upto then in the hope that maybe all the jokes wernt in the trailer , i was wrong , unless something amazing happened in the lat 20 minutes , but doubt it

See it's "reviews" like these that initially made me not bother watching it when I had the chance. Thankfully, I chose otherwise and actually really enjoyed it. At £7.99, it's worth a look. If you don't like it, I'm sure someone in the family will enjoy it.

Did you not read the description? It's a "laugh-out loud romantic comedy", about a "mismatched couple" and a "quirky family" featuring a "star-studded supporting cast" and is a "madcap comedy" which "will have you saying "yes" to The Proposal again and again." It sounds like a winner to me!

Actually, I did watch this in a double rom-com Ryan Reynolds keep-the-partner happy film-bonanza, along with Definitely Maybe. Have to say I preferred the latter, although this was certainly watchable. Sorry, to use film jargon, it was a "laugh out loud rollercoaster ride of emotions that left me gasping for more".

think this is in the sainsbury's sale a week on wednesday for £5

Third worst film I've seen this year. After Bride Wars and Babylon AD since you ask.

I think it was a bit sub-par on the Sandra Bullock Scale (TM), would imagine most fans of rom-coms would be a bit disappointed with it, very light on laughs & romance
