why so cold???

Maybe because the film had a very mixed reception on release & this ISN'T the Extended Cut that those who did like the film would almost certainly prefer (17 minutes of additional footage)......

Surely we vote on whether the price is a hot deal not whether you like a film of not

For a lot of people, myself included, I'd say that the inclusion of an extra 17 minutes of footage is more important that the increased picture quality than Blu-ray or HD provides & as this extended cut is available at £9.99 also (from Play) therefore I don't see this as a hot deal personally, but hey, I'm not stopping anyone from buying it.

Good deal, movietyme are having a lot of cheap blu-rays at the moment.

Sod the 17 minutes, does it really matter? Can't effect the story line much as thats how it was shown in the cinema.

Guys, if you want to moan about the film then go on imdb.com, I think a blu-ray movie under a tenner is a steal!

Thank God you're here to show me/us the error of our ways...if only you'd been here to save the millions I/the general public have spent on extended/special editions/director's cuts of films like Bladerunner, Aliens, Lord of the Rings & so on....what fools we've all been to not realise that the best, truest version of any film is what you sat in the cinema to watch!!?!?!

So are you saying that ANY film on Blu-ray, under a tenner is a Hot deal irrespective of whether it's any good or the best/most complete version available??!?
It looks a good price IF THIS IS THE VERSION YOU'RE AFTER & as I've said, I've got a gun to nobody's head ordering them not to buy it.

And people wonder why members don't bother to justify their cold votes!!?

I'm with C32 on this. The extended cut is MUCH better than the standard version. Brilliant film. Just a shame it was only released on DVD on R1 (or was, i'll have to check). Would have thought all HD versions would be the ultimate version available and not the cut down ****. More rip offs imho.

Play list their £9.99 extended as Region 2 Pre-order (release on 18/02/2008) HERE .
(Looks to be the same extras/run time as my Reg 1 from CDWOW)

Think it was £8.99 for the R1 but CDWOW don't seem to be carrying any longer....

(best price on R1 Extended on FindDVD was Amazon marketplace @ £6.98 + £1.24 P&P although I'd pay the extra penny & go with Caiman USA who I've used before)

But I want R2 :p The other one I want is Blue Thunder the TV series but that'll never get an R2 release so i'll have to bite the bullet on that one. Not sure who's reliable enough to buy it from though.
