Now priced the same as the DVD on Amazon.

Cheapest I can find online

After the Oscar-winning success of the adaptation of the Cormac McCarthy novel NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, another of the author's works arrives on screen. Viggo Mortensen stars in THE ROAD, a thriller that is set in a bare, post-apocalyptic America, where a father and son struggle to survive. Director John Hillcoat previously teamed with star Guy Pearce on the critically acclaimed Western THE PROPOSITION.

Just checked and it's available at that price online at HMV aswell. Might save a bit extra with HMV through quidco.

Suprised by people saying it was depressing. I thought it was a very good film with great performances better than truly depressing films( Micheal Bay films).

I didn't find it depressing either, I just 'enjoy' post-apocalyptic films.

That'll be a different Michael Bay to the one who makes all the popcorn fun films then? (Transformers, Pearl Harbor, Armageddon etc)

Post-apoc is right up my street but I found this movie slow. I enjoyed the book and had looked forward to the movie, but sadly it doesn't translate as well as you'd might think and the expanded wife role was extra tedium.

That said, good price.

That's exactly who he means. I don't find them depressing as such but don't really enjoy Bay's homoerotic representation of the military, not that there's anything wrong with that.
